now that i think of it, it is also the most effective tricep exercise. learn the variations and use dips, they are good.

Warik I am impressed! I start every other chest day with either dips or pushups.

Whatcha think? I'm one of those chat board people who don't work out? Hey man, I'm not going to look like He-Man ever unless I know my training stuff too. =)

But what's all this about "starting" every other chest day... you mean you do more than 1 exercise for chest? This concept intrigues me.

The dip is a fantastic exercise. I have heard it being called "the upper body squat" and I think that is pretty darn close.

See all those sissies at the cable machines doing their tricep pushdowns and check how strong their tris are. Then have a look at somebody who can do weighted dips with half his bodyweight attached to to a belt and spot the difference.

They are definitely and awesome exercise. But then again I could be considered biased as they are my favourite exercise for some reason.

dammiiit, my stupid 'gym' has turned into a damn health club, no more benchpress as well other equipment such as the poles for dipping. finding a new gym.

GREAT CHEST EXERCISE... they involve your tris and front delts like any other chest exercise. Lean forward and flare out your elbows though to push more of the stress onto your pecs. Use weight if necessary. One of the biggest keys to a MASSIVE CHEST. :D:D
