How many women are left that post regularly around here? You (and remind me, how many times have you been banned?) Nan, Cindy, Cali. SuperQT, Rottenwillow and Nef post very, very occasionally. Who am I forgetting? I'm not around that much myself anymore, more and more it's like hanging out in a junior high boys locker room and the women's training is virtually a ghost town.

I could be forgetting folks but not that many. But when I first started on this board it had a very, very lively women's forum and there were plenty of women posting in both training and C&C. There was a reason why out of all the bodybuilding boards out there I chose to go plat here.

To be fair, needto kind of killed the women's board by exiling a bunch of women who also posted on AF, deleting all the quality content they had posted, and doing that whole "push the sponsors, only the sponsors" business model. Not to mention, the paranoia - because clearly, stiletto was out to get him. Then a few of the more frequent women posters in C&C got banned for being more trouble than they were worth.

I rarely post mainly because I'm not interested in mitch's socks, and there's not much else going on these days. Plus I'm in front of a computer less.

That said, y'all can definitely still be a bit tactless. But it's always been that way. Worse. I still remember the trial by fire Afeedz got when she first came here (because I reached out to her to try and convince her not to be run off). I think the state of the women's board and female participation in C&C now is more the repercussions of needto's leadership/digger's passing.

As far as posting goes....it's been off and on. Generally either I was here and posting fairly frequently, or not here at all. Nowadays I log in several times a day but rarely see anything I want to comment on. Before, I wasn't even looking. It's been like that I guess for about a year-ish now.

Come on, don't deny it....this place is dead as hell these days.

agree. Especially on the needto part. He openly didn't like the women posters of C&C even though he had those rules to take care of women, he felt like he was above reproach on his own rules. He would be incredibly rude to Rachel and most of the other women and called the typical women posters here "psychopaths"...but no offense ladies :rolleyes:

I think that its more women friendly now than it was when he was around. Sad thing is, there are no women left.

I think the forum is dying bc there aren't enough experienced admin around that are good enough with people to maintain a community full of people, and as a result there are less women bc there are less people. What is left in chat are the remnants of people over the years who have stuck around through all of that, why those are mostly men are because of needto imo.

I don't know about a lot of that because I went through a loooonnngg phase where I totally was off the board when my shoulders were really trashed. I've never known why a lot of the women just up and vanished seemingly overnight. The few times I was able to find out it always turned out to be the same answer "Fed up with the bullshit" so I just accepted that.

The board had a massive personality change after Digger, no question there.

Maybe there need to be some ideas on how to bring the forums, especially the women's forum back to life. Maybe some type of incentive for women to post and not lurk. Maybe a reward system for x amt of good, quality posts. I don't know.

I suggested this a while back, right after needto..erm..."left." It never gained any traction. I can only assume that at this point Rick has washed his hands of the women's board.

I agree with you about the lack of knowledgeable people at the helm. The whole "push the sponsors, only the sponsors" model also drove away men who contributed and actually knew what they were talking about and wouldn't just toe the line. God forbid anyone post a negative review of a sponsored product, only to have said sponsor get removed a week later in favor of a new sponsor who would then be pushed with equal fervor. Who's going to trust the opinion of a mouthpiece? And why would a new person stick around and add to the community if they got limited advice that was obviously a sales pitch?

Meh. I get that it's a business, but there's better ways to make money than relying on new people who don't know any better. My .02.

Agree, and with no community eventually there will be no sponsors. I don't see why a new member would stick around if they were exposed to staff that was rude too. I don't know.
