where can i get a large tire (for tire flips)?

Check with farmers they might have one laying around and I'm not too sure about this one but a junk yard might have a pretty decent sized tire. Half the fun of strongman training is coming up with the equiptment don't you think?

like a tractor tire or somewhere around that size. i dont want something bigger than me (i'm 6'3), but i dont want something too short. weight doesnt really matter, cause ill just put those 50lb sandbags that you buy at toy-r-us to add extra weight.

well im at my parents for the summer, so ill just leave it in their garage. it would be great. my parents live in this ultra snob community and i would love to see the neighbors reaction to me flipping tires up and down their street.

Call around to all the tire dealers in your area. You want an Earth Mover tire...not a tractor/combine tire. They have to pay to give them away...so they will give you their scraps. We (Night Fly and I) just got her 2 of them this week!!!

It all depends on the thickness of the wall, height, tread, etc...

Look at the pics I just posted with me and Night Fly. I would suggest for most any male to get a 600 pound tire...about 5 1/2-6' tall, Earth Mover tire.

damn, now not only do i not know where to get them, i dont know how to get them home. haha. when you do your tire work, how many flips do you do?

Borrow a truck or a trailer. We rented a U-Haul for the day...lol.

Just call around. Rock quarries, construction companies, etc... Just start looking around.

We vary our sets and reps. I have a 600 pound tire and a 1000 pound tire. I go for distance, time, weight, etc... Great cardio...
