When to start finasteride?

Hi bros,
I am currently on my first cycle of 250mg/week. I am taking arimedex at 0.5eod and also have finasteride in hand.

Recently, I have notice quite a bit of dandruff and started using nizoral shampoo 2days ago. My scalp is still itchy. I am really afraid to lose my hair but I want to minimise the side effects of finasteride.

Could you guys advise me on the appropriate finasteride dosage and when to take it(for eg, start taking when u notice increase hair loss)?

Just start it low. 0.5 mg/day will help, once u start it u pretty much gotta stay on it as the hairloss may try and catch up once u come off. I've been taking it for years and i have the same head of hair since i started, im on 1mg/day and dont notice really any side effects. Some people it really screws with em. That's why i say start low. Also get some nioxin shampoo and treatment. Its relatively cheap and does a good job of sparing hair. Remember the nizoral should be used everyday. Topical spiro is another option that u can look into.

But my hair thinner now compare to like 5years old.

Hair loss can come from either side of the family. You can get the gene from mom or dad. It's an old wives tale to look at your moms side of the family
