When do you listen & when do you suck it up and do it ...

Ya know what helps me with Cardio? Music. If it wasn't for my IPOD I would dread cardio too. Like at home, I hate it. I can't stand the rotation on the radio, but at the gym I throw my headphones in and tune everyone out. Before I know it 30 minutes has passed oh so quickly.

Oh I know-- I travel w/ my gym loaded w/ my cd player, my mp3 player, headphones, spare batteries, etc. There is no way to make the cardio part "easier"-- the point is to just do it. But I can't be exhausted when I am scheduled to do it.

As soon as I get started I love it. I NEVER dislike the lifting part of it. Lifting has always been VERY cleansing for me -- spiritually, mentally, physically. The challenge there is I need to watch the OVER training. I could've done 3-4 more back exercises, but after what I did already, it becomes redundant and actually starts working against the purpose.

I really dread cardio tho. I really have to be "in the zone" and I was already tired going in. The cardio is ALWAYS what makes the difference for me so that really needs to be a priority going in.

I slept like a rock tho and I'm not what I'd call "sore" today.

I pretty much feel the same way about cardio..... Lifting too....

The only time I have fun with it is during my 5k races..... but I guess I go for the after parties....
