who here has checked the temperature of the air coming from your air conditioning system?

anyone know the "reference standard" for this?

mine pumps out 42 to 48 degrees, relative to 88 to 95 degrees outside.

is this good, average, or time to call the a/c guy?

Normally, an air conditioner should put out air at least 15 degrees below ambient temperature. As the room temperature decreases, it will blow colder and colder but still around 15 degrees colder than ambient. However, they are not as efficient as a cooler, refrigerator, etc. So, rule of thumb is 15 degrees lower than ambient. Now, if you have more than one system, that ups the efficiency. HTH

So, yours must be the bionic a/c. ;-)
