What's more important, cals or protein or both?

I'm starting my cycle in 4-5 weeks and I'm getting ready. I'm in the gym 5-6 days a week and eat like a madman but I seem to focus more on my protein intake (200-250 g/day) and watching my carbs (in the afternoon and after training especially) than my cals. How many cals should I be eating a day? Is my protein intake correct?

If you're eating like a madman then i'm guessing you're trying to bulk. In my opinion both are equally important. Most people on here would agree that your intake all depends on your body. It takes me atleast 4,000 cals a day just to see a pound or two. Others it takes half that. You just have to try different things and find out how your body responds.

i used to eat 4-5 thous cals a day and now i eat less and eat alot of oatmeal and good foods and I make sure i gt 200-300 gram protien and my body and over all look has been changed ...so i think hivgh protien will slowly build that lean mass and

double that for 1 lb for me

That question is too broad.

Are you cutting or bulking?
How much do you weigh?
What is your Bf?
How is your metabolism?
How active are you?
What is your age?

But to answer your question you need both.
If I need 4000 cals to grow and I only get 2500 but I get 300g protein I probably won't grow.

If I get 5000cals and only 75g protein, I probably won't grow( at least muscle anyways).

You have to find that balance.
