whats a good starting weight for goodmornings?

I'm trying goodmorning's for the first time today. What's a good weight to start with? I'm basically just going to work on form until i get it perfect. This exercise makes me kind of nervous but I really need to strengthen my lower back.

I started with the bar in late May and have worked up to 242 x 2 as of two days ago. Not a huge weight by any means, but you have to start somewhere :)

When I started doing them I was pretty weak at them. 80 was hard to do. I've worked up to 150. Starting with the bar is a good idea.

if the bar seems heavy

take a light dumbell, hold it to your chest with both hands and perform the good morning, whatever variation you are doing. its a little different than a barbell across the back, but once you get to 45 pds you can use the barbell. its also a good warm up if you are hitting legs or lower back.

I started with the bar and went up to 135. Didn't feel too bad...for about 30 minutes. At that point I messaged Hannibal to tell him that I now HATED HIS GUTS for introducing them to me...

I just started doing them two weeks ago, I looked at my training log and it says

barx10 barx10 95x5 135x5 155x3 175x3 185x3 205x3

I went a little to far. Standing up the next day was not a hole lot of fun. If I had to do it over again I would probably would not have pushed that far.
