What to eat\supplement after cardio??

no

after weight training: high GI + protein

after cardio : only protein (if you want to cut) or proteins + low GI carbs
 
Anthrax..you're just a bad mutha :) Just because I don't post much doesn't mean I haven't been around awhile. I just get lazy. You're one of the most consistent dudes with respect to "correct" answers as well as just responding when N oone else cares to or just does'nt know the answes.....Karma to you my friend .Keep up the grreat work..But change your name.....the feds gotta be watching your as with a name like that ------SERIOUSLY! Yo Anthrax. Does go for HIIT as well? Don't you use a lot of muscle glycogen while doing HIIT? Please inform a brother.

If you do take High GI carbs after cardo, I would not take as much dextrose as you would after a workout.
 
thanx guys..

up intill 2 sessions ago..after cardio, or martial arts training i would just take 2 servings of whey protein..

2 sessions ago i started taking about..35 grams of dextrose afterwards...

after i lift i have 66 grams of protien and about 65-75 grams of dextrose.

The reason y i wasent having dextorse after both workouts was because im cutting down and i dint want to much sugar in my diet,,,

so how bout i got about 65 post lift, and about 35 after cardio, and martial arts with 40 grams of protien?

so i guess that means i shoudl stick to no sugar after cardio and martial arts???

dextrose is not the best food you could have after cardio and martial arts
Stick to whey protein and a few low GI carbs (oatmeal) to replenish your glycogen.

it depends what's your goal
If you want to cut, you'd better not eat a lot of carbs (and above all, NO high GI carbs)
HIIT uses mainly glycogen

I never tried dextrose after cardio but I've had a few guys at the gym suggest it. Of course these guys are the hard gainer type. Where as I got to watch the diet year round. So I'll stick with MRP after my cardio w/o the dextrose. Don't need to blow up like a balloon....;)
