What to eat before cardio?

I do HIIT 5x a week in the mornings for conditioning for boxing. So fat-loss isn't the goal here, muscle gain is. Should I eat just a shake with 40-50 grams protein then run or eat a full meal with carbs and protein before?
 
Muslce Gain During Cardio is not too easy, BUT definatley possible.....

I hit the heavy bag in my basement for 20 mins and i have really defined my delts/back/arms

Since no fat loss and muscle gain is your goal i would say Go with the carb meal. Your body uses carbs as energy so eat about 1hr before. Like a small bowl of pasta like them russians do! I would def eat some sort of protein as well. I just would make sure to get the carbs in to preserve your muscle.

OH and dont forget your PWO as well, since u are treating this as a workout routine.

That's what I thought was better. I eat 1 cup of oatmeal with 5-8 eggs. Thats around 60+ grams of carbs and protein and some fats from eggs.

For Post-workout, is eating some chicken or tuna good because for now I don't have any whey.

Post workout needs to be WHEY.
Since all that food would take some time to digest and would not be optimal for PWO.

If you like i believe the only "real" food that can be digested that quicly and effiently would be EGG WHITES.

The Tuna and chicken would take some time to digest so it wouldnt hit your muscles for another hour. Get some Whey!

Ok, thanks. Then egg whites it is until whey. It's just that the first time I bought whey was 6 lbs of GNC vanilla for $20 because it was a good deal. But it taste just horrible, even with milk and anything else I put in it. O well, I'm probably gonna buy isopure soon.

I pick up 2lb Any flavor(they have tons) by Opitmum Nutrition. AKA "ON"

I love Straberry and Double Chocolate. ITs highquality Whey. I get mine for 12.99 for a 2lb tub ( I keep it at work and home, but if i just bought 1 tub i would buy a bigger one)

Also, PWO, i wouldnt use MILK, only water and whey. Wich is why i sugges ON it tastes the same either way.
 
Depends on how close to your workout your food intake will be. Whole foods as mentioned if you have the digestion time, if not I usually recommend here an MRP.
