He once was the greatest heavyweight ever. Now he is shot. And yes, for sure he's on gear, most pros are. They don't test for that in boxing.

This is why AAS are illegal because the media says that this happens to people when they are on. Bullshit. I've seen tyson in better shape..........hope he doesn't take Nielson lightly, from what I hear Nielson is one of the hardest if not THE hardest puncher in the heavy weight division. They compare his power to the Tyson of old. And Nautica, make sure you try to wrestle Mike, cause if you try to go toe to toe with him you'll more than likely lose.

Remember when Evander Holyfield went from light-heavyweight to heavyweight. He went from 175lbs to 215lbs in one year with very little fat!!! A friend of mine who was close to with Holyfield's personal trainer said he had a little assistance from Test and Deca.

Fighting is more then muscles and strength. It's about style. Tyson can hit hard cause he knows how to channel his weight into the punch. He's also got speed. Unless you're some unknown boxer or know some good grapling/juijitsujudo, I think they only ass thats gonna get kicked is yours if you mess with Tyson.

I think the only way someone could beatup Tyson is by taking him down and doin some kinda lock.
 
agreed........not too many people are going to strike with mike. But a grappler, I have to say, would probably make short work of him. I doubt Mike knows how to defend against the take down. A good wrestler who knows one or two "good" submission locks would probably not have too much of a problem. Just got too watch the initial take down, not let him hit you where it can do damage.

The guy he's fighting is a nobody. But when he fights someone that isn't afraid of him and has skills he falls apart. He's used to being the bully. A in shape Lenix Lewis will destroy him.

I agree with raft and bot. Anyone who thinks tyson lost it should watch some of his training tapes. That boy has the fastest hands and glides across the canvas like he's on wheels. I train a few times a week and wish I could get that handspeed and footwork.

I agree he is a freak but I dont think he is guilty of everything he is blamed for. That chick he supposedly raped and went to prison for. for all the people that think tyson would get mauled by a grapler and get destroyed in a ufc fight, i think it would be closer than you would think. lets not forget he is a natural streetfighter, if you look at his style thats all it is, hard hitting punches mostly hooks and real close to the opponent. he is not a natural boxer but is a natural fighter.

In fact the reason why boxers do specific exercises to strengthen their necks - and Tyson is a perfect example of this - is to prevent the whiplash effect which causes brain damage or from your neck getting snapped altogether!

Oh yeah, that Hopkins fight was great. I laughed when I saw trinidads face at the end of round 8. I knew it was done then, he had the what the hell is going on look and he was tired. You knew he had no idea what he had to do. Hopkins being 36 is all that much better. To lose by being just flat beaten down is tough for those PR boxers. Best part is it probably made him better. I'm not a fan but he will dominate in the near future

M56M, there's a lot of good fighters around nowadays, I wouldn't say that no one on this board could beat him. In a boxing match, Tyson would put me into a coma in about 1/4 second, but if it were street I think I have enough experience to give him a respectful run for his money. I know how to play my reach advantage, and he probably wouldn't know what to do with a good kicker or grappler. But MikeLong has a good point. No doubt that motherfucker has been in more than his share of street fights. Not to mention that he has a warrior mentality. And, I know that if he were to make chin contact, he would definately shatter me. As a fighter he has all my respect. I would fight him just because it would be a great challenge win or lose.

bezerker, its not about money, its about skill and heart. Obviously neither of which you are familiar with. I train my ass off everyday in NHB, MMA. Boxing is a one dimensional sport, and NHB is the most intense test of your body, mind, and spirit you can deal with. My manager has fought in several UFCs and he has more heart than any fighter I've ever seen. Just as you mentioned UFC is for pennies for the boxers' millions. That just shows you that they have heart not greed. Don't disrespect the guys that train NHB you little twerp. Keep your mouth shut and Fuck you.

This is so true. He is an awsome boxer but in the world of MMX he would be nothing. Its been proven time and time again. lots of pro boxers have went down to tiny grapplers. Boxing is just one tool In MMX. Anyone with decent ground skills would own mike easily let alone a UFC, Pride, ect..... MMX fighter own boxers.

While I will give you the fact that many boxers do not do well in UFC. Mike Tyson is not just an average boxer, how many top Heavyweight boxers have you seeen fighting in the UFC???

As far as the other comments made earlier by others about Tyson's street fighting abilities. He grew up on the streets for many years. I'm sure he knows how to handle himself in that situation as well.

There was one well known street fight he got into with a former boxer by the name of Mitch Green whom he fought earlier in his career. Tyson hit the guy one time in a club and broke his nose and blackened the shit out of his eye and his cheek. The whole side of his face looked like it had been hit with a baseball bat. This was from one punch with no gloves on and this was thrown at a guy who was a top heavyweight boxer at that time. So you guys that say you can beat Mike Tyson's ass can hang it up, your just talking shit!!!

No heavyweight in the world ever has had as much raw talent as Tyson. No one could match his speed, strength, chin, or determination.
 
Rugger - I have to agree with BOT it's hard sometimes not to feel sorry for Tyson because practically everybody he has ever known with the exception of Cus D'amato has fucked him over because of who he is and his wealth! What Robin Givens did was inexcusable and it totally fucked his head up she even put him on some weird psychiatric drug which he didn't need so she could be in complete control She only had one thing in mind from the very start and that was to separate him from his money!
