What kind of gains have you made??

maybe not for you, but it would be enough for me. i'm not looking to waste too many calories here or anything. a mile a day would also definately be overkill for me

Well since Aug my weight has gone from 165 lbs to an all time high of which was today at 191 lbs .Im 511 by the way.And over that same time period my Bench has gone up from 225 barely getting it up to 280 lbs 3 reps. And I actually just started bulking the weight I put on was when I was cutting which may seem odd but I was away for the military up to Aug so thats why my weight jumped up so fast even while cutting I was still consuming more food than when I was away.

nclifter, you're obviously experienced lifter, i saw your pics on facethejury or something website, youre pretty big. But for those who start out I feel that establishing base by increasing the weights is very benefit.

I lifted for 2.5 years. I was always conscious about my body, and very shy because I was fat and would often starve myself. So one day I went to my university's gym, and saw these built people, and I asked one of them how did you get like this. And this guy said "You think I was born like this?". That sentence made so much sense to me. I started going to gym, 2 hours a day, 5 days a week.. eating maximum of 2 meals a day. I lost a lot of fat and got down to 172 from 200 lbs. That was 1 .5 years ago. Since tehn I started eating a lot, protein... creatine... deadlifts. 1.5 years ago I could bench 135 x 5, squat 95 x 10 (barely) and deadlift about 225 x 1. Fast forward 1.5 years... I bench 265, squat 315 and deadlift 405, lat pulldown 250 x 5, shrug 315 x 10 without cheating, powerclean 205, pushpress 185 for 5 clean reps... all at bodyweight of 205 and bf appprox 14-18%

Over a 16 year training history I went from 180 lbs to 28. (lost 65 lbs of it during a divorce regained a lot of it and then cut down last summer and am presently a leaner 237 at 6'3"), tripled my strength on some exercises and quadrupled on others, increased bis from 13 inches to 18 1/2, chest from 40 to 48, thighs from 23 to 27 1/2 , calves from 16 to 18 1/2 while ending up with the same waist measurement that I started with-so it works out to a net gain of 57 lbs of muscle- naturally; Squat went from 135 to 525 for 10, Incline presses from 115 to 315, etc.

uh. I started lifting in 9th grade. LOL, oh man I think I started at bench reps with 115, and squats with about the same. I didnt even start Cleaning until Varsity football. The most weight I have ever lifted.
320 fairly clean bench press
345 3 rep deep squat ( any heavier and it really hurts my back)
I think I Power Cleaned 235 at somepoint but Im not sure.
195 overhead press, not a pretty one though. BUT my best rep range is around 6-8, I excell in this range, I cant lift to heavy.

I'll be posting some before and after pics for the last 2 or so months, you will see my gains in those pics.

6-7 months proper training under my belt at a gym since my teenage years, or 10 months with my intial body weight stuff at home.

I'm 5'9" and in this time I went from 215 lbs or so with a 40+ inch waist
down to 180lbs with a 32.5inch waist.
I then went up to 192 with a 34 inch waist 2.5 months ago
and now at 192lbs (but I actually weighed 195-196 today!) with a 32.75inch waist

I've gotten a lot stronger as well. See the PR thread

Training since the age of 9. Powerlifting since April (WSB). From April to present (6 months):

Squat: 285-342
Bench: 95-188 (265 shirted)
Deadlift: 221-375 (397 partial)

Holy hell those are some great gains!!!

My routine during that time was a bulking diet and compound freeweight movements with 3-4 sets of 8-10 for most exercises. Now I've just started the 5x5 routine, this will be my second week on it.

I started training over 10 years ago, was just over 140lbs at 5'9" when I started training, am sitting at 230lbs with around 10% bodyfat now.
As for lifts, I'm not really into maxes, but my best sets include deadlift (no belt or straps) 550lbs for a set of 5 reps
squats 430lbs (ass to the floor, no belt) for 5 reps
bench 325lbs 3 sets of 5 reps

Well, I started lifting when I was nearing the end of grade 11. I was about 150 lbs @ 5'10. Since then I have suffered numerous injuries like getting run over by a car, minor bicep tendon tears, shoulder seperations, cartelage tear in my knee...
Anyways... even with all of these injuries, I've managed to go from 150 to 200. I'd say in the 5 years I've managed to put on over 35 lbs of LBM.... Please note that there have probably been over 2 years in this time period where I was unable to workout due to injuries..
Funniest thing is I just started doing legs seriously this year.... I figure I'm good for at least 10 lbs on my legs within a year...
I'm not into max lifts, but here are some of my average lifts
Some of my lifts
3x8x205 Bench (first time benching in 2 years was 2 weeks ago)
100 lb dumbells for flat bench
85 lb dumbells for incline bench
3x5x285 deadlift (just started doing them a few months ago)
3x5x230 squat (just started doing them a few months ago)
