What kind of Cardio is best for fatloss?

I'm taking winny right now 50mg ed. doing cardio for 20mins for 5-6 days a week. Just wanted to know what kind of cardio will be best for fat loss? Is stationary bike any good? or running on the treadmill is the only way to go? let me know what u think fellas.

i personaly dont like the bike or tredmill. my fav is the cross trainer. go half way running forward on it, then switch to running backwards on it. i find this to burn more calories and give me a over all better results. in toning muscles too. and stick to 20min 4 times a week. in my opinion. and do it on an empty stomach.

I like using the Alpine Pass setting on the Treadmill. I set the speed for a fast walk and I set the incline as high as I can take it--now at 7.5. 20 minutes 4-5 times per week. I enjoy this "walk" and it burns fat. This type of cardio works great for those with chronic fat. I suspect that athletes and those with low bodyfat would better benefit from higher intensity cardio like running.

cardio

i've been doing 20 min 4-5x/week after weights on an empty stomach and i feel that i've been making gains as well as seeing some substantial fat loss (and i am on my third week of an 8 week sust250/wk cycle). is lifting on an empty stomach a bad idea?? i usually drink an ECA drink at the gym and have plenty of energy throughout my lifting and cardio. i don't lift weights for very long, just 3-4 exercises at 2 sets per with as much weight as i can possibly do (trying to do at least 4-5 reps). this seems to have produced the best results for me though sometimes i wonder if the cardio/empty stomach thing is hindering me...

They type of cardio is unimportant. As long as you get your heart rate up for a sustained period of time you'll burn fat.....

walking is the best for fat loss with minimal muscle loss

I personally like to box with the training bag for 20 min. DAMN, that's a fucking cardio workout !

I've tried almost all types of cardio equipment there is, and I by far get the absolute best workout (i.e. it is the TOUGHEST) on the Stairmill. They have these at nicer gyms... they're like mini-escalators. Set that bad boy on a high level (i.e. the stairs will move FAST), and I garauntee that at the end of 20 minutes, you'll be drenched with sweat, breathing harder than ever, and about to pass out and die. Now THAT'S good cardio ;).

hahahaahah sounds good man. They got those at my gym. gotta try it tomorrow :)

I do use traditional cardio methods, getting the heart rate into the fat buring zone for about 30-40 minutes, but I also like to use sprint work. I try to get outside in the summer and perform sprintwork in place of my normal morning cardio. Of course I do all cardio, in the morning before eating, or after weight training-WULF

The best results I have are doing cardio first thing in the morning. 20 minutes is not enough, that barely burns up your stored sugar--- I would stick to at least 30 minutes 3-4 times week. Skier or the treadmill(with 6%+ incline) are my favorites

I usually do 15 treadmill, and 25-30 skier

i tried that cross trainer thing this morning in place of the treadmill....its like some cross country ski machine almost..but cooler right?....well anyway it kicked my ass..not only is it more fun and easy on my joints, but i burned about 150 more calories in the 25 mins i did it than i would have on the treadmill.

if i dont jog first thing in the morning then I will ride the bike at the gym for 15 mins before workout and then jog on the treadmill for 15 mins after the workout.

first thing in the morning on an empty stomach you do wind sprints or just do cardio for more than 30mins. that is what I do for a few weeks before every vacation, oh yeah I forgot to mention I pop a couple NYC before the workout.

:D

Whats the best brand for NYC?? I'm looking for something to take during my 2 weeks off of clen. so where can i get nyc?

Wouldn't cardio after a hard glycogen depleting workout be beneficial to burning fat. In theory wouldn't your glycogen stores be near fully depleted after an intense weight training session, then wouldn't your body tend to use stored fat for energy during a post workout moderate cardio session?

A few years ago over on mis.fitness.weights newsgroup this was a much debated topic. I was always a proponent of aerobic exercise, min of 20-30mins with your heartrate in the "fatburning" zone until I read a posted study that demonstrated bouts of alternating aerobic/anaerobic exercise led to greater fat loss. An example would be 20 min of sprinting/jogging alternate telephone pole intervals.

imo the best cardio is jumping rope...do it for 2 minutes than take a 1 min break. do 6 sets and you'll be amazed at how high your heart rate can get....im tellin ya nothing compares..
