OK...I don't know what went on..I was out w/the rugrats ALL DAY - GOD, AM I WORN OUT!
Not to change the subject, though....I didn't read the aforementioned thread, but another member shot me a note to take a look and that it was really out of control.
Having said that....I am NOT taking sides. I would NEVER pass judgement on any female regardless of her age and/or station in life. But Sailor, you are what, SEVENTEEN?!...TALLL....AND SLIM?!?!! Come on, from what I have read about Calico she has come a LOOOOONG WAAAAAAY BABY! And to put her down because she isn't what some find the "pinnacle of beauty" just is not right! How would you feel if people flamed you for not being muscular enough? Actually, I think there were more than a few times when there were less than flattering remarks made about you posting pics on chat in the past. If it did not hurt your feelings than GREAT!!! You obviously have not had your self-esteem eroded by gaining A LOT of weight while pregnant and GOD - what one looks like AFTER GIVING BIRTH IS ALMOST WORSE!!!!
What I am saying here, is that it is ok for you to state your opinion that Calico is not exaclty Ms Olympia material, but then again, how many of us are? There can only be one Ms O at a time (well, now there are two, but that's another topic altogether).
I have seen Calico's pics and whether you agree w/me or not is ok, but for the record, I think she looks AMAZING for what her body has been through!!!!
And I do NOT pay false compliments. I KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO FEEL LIKE YOU ARE LESS THAN A PERSON BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT A 17 YEAR OLD SIZE 3!
Does that mean I hate you for being young and attractive? Absolutely not! I beleive that as women we should extend our hands to each other and help raise each other up. I mean, we bitch and moan constantly about how "men put us down and treat us like second class citizens". But how do we expect THEM to change their small minded attitudes about what defines us as women, if WE PERPETUATE THE BULLSHIT OURSELVES?!
True, One should have thick skin and be prepared to NOT EVERYBODY digging us when we post pics of ourselves in cyberspace. I have had MANY hurtful comments hurled at me on MANY OCCASIONS - but guess what? I COULD GIVE A SHIT! My girls worship and adore me and I am working daily on loving myself just a little more each day. Calico, remember, your self esteem should not come from how others percieve you, but HOW YOU PERCIEVE YOURSELF!
NOW EVERYBODY PLAY NICE!! OR ELSE!!!
