what do you all take to work on a low-carb diet

i have a ten hour shift with 3 breaks and 1 lunch help me out guys...

eatings like a full time job... either you have time, can make time for it... or you don't. Work with what you can.

Be resourceful if it's hard to eat at work.

eat one meal before and after work...spread your breaks out every 2 hours and eat on your breaks and lunch....obviously you will need to cook the night before and carry them with you the next day. do you have access to a microwave?

what are your goals? how old are you? weight? are you lifiting?

okay people, the probelm isn't not haveing enought time, i understand that, i have no problem cooking night before, i usually cook for the whole week on one day....i just want to know some ideas on whats good to take

Chicken breats, steak, extra lean ground beef, salmon, brown rice, vegtables, peanuts, blueberries, strawberries, oatmeal, eggs, protein shakes, cottage cheese. Anything is fair game. :)

Sort of off -topic - why low carb diet? Low carb sux. I'd recommend a carb cycle over a static low carb diet any day of the week. Eventually you stall out.

Any sort of diet however I still carried all my meals w/ me every day, all day. You probably eat more cals than I do & that's where the protein shakes are nice. I like the shakes that dissolve in water, mix in a shaker (not a blender). I keep the shaker & dry ingredients measured out in a baggie and mix at work. Another approach is to add just enogh water to make a pudding type thing. This works when I get really fucking sick of the shakes.

Otherwise all my meats are already cooked (usually grilled) and I precut everything & throw it in baggies or tupperware depending on how much room I have in the cooler. Most of my carbs come from yams so I have those weighed out & in baggies or tupperware and just renuke at eating time. Or even cold. You'd be suprised what you can shovel down when it "fueling time" -- i.e. esp in competition prep, "taste" is not an issue - its simply time to refuel and convenience, speed and gettign it down are priority. I don't even put my cooler in the fridge - I keep it w/ 2 ice packs and w/ me at all times so I have it when I need it. No impact to the people aroudn me, no chance anyone will eat out of it (OMG!) and no chance I woudn't be able to fit it in the fridge if everyone else happened to fill it before I could get there.

cottage cheese, precooked chicken breasts, or just buy a tub of musclemilk and a shaker, mix with cold water and be done.
