What Do You All Do To Fight Cardio Boredom?

Sofa's got it right. If you want moderate activity,(which is all cardio is) DO SOMETHING. Sprints followed by a walk is a great example. No need to go to the gym for that.

Jogging on a treadmill is a colossal waste of time.

I can't stand cardio.

Hence, I run OUT for a max of about 15 minutes... then walk home. This equals about 45 minutes of being on the treadmill 'cuz it takes my 1/2 an hour to walk back... 45 minute total time.

I can walk dogs easily... find it very fun... and I can ride a bike easily IF I'M GOING SOMEWHERE.

I just can't do cardio for its own sake. It is too boring.

Fortunately, I love boxing and kickboxing. I get in great boxing workouts 4-5 nights a week.

Do you spar? Or just hit the heavybag and speedbag?

Me and a bud at my gym get a fantastic workout throwing a 25lb medicine ball for 20 - 30 min,and what an ab workout it is also! WHEW!

You've got to spar... preferably with good opponents.

Earnest Hemingway... until his 60s... made his daily workout of doing 3 rounds a day.

A heavy bag is good... but it doesn't move like a human jaw.

I just play basketball if I wanna do cardio. Sometimes I like running on the treadmill as it clears my mind, so I do it. I never really do forced cardio.

One reason i've NEVER missed a single workout since I started lifting is cause I love it so much. That's how things should be, you gotta love it to do it. :)

BTW, I really haven't missed a single workout. I had a set workout I did from day 1 (I used max-ot training from ast sports science) and slowly tried other workouts too. I've taken a week break here and there for recooperation purposes, but never missed a planned workout. :)

Reading is very good. Also, think about all the ass you will get by being shredded in the summer time, that usually gets me going.

Quit the low-medium intensity cardio that takes 30-40 minutes and try the high intensity shit that takes 10-20 minutes. You can't get bored when you're busting your ass down the track at full speed. HIIT, look into it.

Im a lucky bastard....
In the gym where i train, they have a couple of tv's in front of all the cardio-equipment.. On one of the tv's they're showing some of the latest movies..

So in the summer, there arent much video's i havent seen..:D
