what can you eat to prevent muscle cramps

I drink a banana smoothie about 1-1.5 hours before my indoor soccer games. I used to suffer from a lot of cramp, but these have been a wonderful and extremely helpful addition to my pre-game routine. I add extra potassium and a little sodium to the shake.
 
muscle/crapming is due to the firing of the muscle which has to do with Na/K/Ca. So I recommend eating potassium to helps your cells repolarize and to end cramping, also calcium since this help your muscle fire at max velocity. Lower the Na intake a little since many people salt levels are way to high and cause major bloating effect
