Western Union HELP

Ok, I've gone into 2 seperate WUs and I've had a really hard time at both of them. I've been given this whole lecture on us being at war and how dangerous it is to send money. I fill out the form and the clerk tells me that he needs two forms of ID from me and two forms of ID on the receiving end. I filled out the security question and he said that's not good enough for the other person to pick up money. Sending to another country is a real pain in the balls. The individual picking up the $ at WU is not going to be using ID but I am. I don't want to end up losing the money and have to go through a big process of trying to get it back. So, has anyone had these problems before and what suggestions does anyone have?

lol, wtf? you should have asked if they require a DNA test too - you must live in AZ. My advise: go to another WU location, at least 2 hours away. Something is not right bro.

anything under $3,000 is no hassle at all (i think that was the cut off) no id to send. over that amount, Fed law requires ID. its not WU's fauilt.

read over what he said - 2 forms of ID on both ends, sounds fishy as hell to me.

I have sent western union and they wanted ID for anything over 1000 dollars. You can still go to a wall-mart and do a moneygram. They will still ask for ID but, the person recieving the money only has to show ID if you request it.

yup, but fishy depends on whether its over the cutoff.

the other thing I remeber with WU is that they require ID (dont remember if it was 2 forms) for ANY amount transferred to china. Dont know if that was Fed Law, or just their policy. Couldnt get a straight answer, but 3 different WU offices all wanted ID for China, but not for other countries.

Sounds fucked up to me...Never had to do any crazy shit like that have sent funds all over this world never asked for I.D. from anybody.. Never have sent more then 1,000 at a time at one location tho.. I have sent to China many times never asked a question ...Hmmm I would bounce and look for a new location for sure..

Neither WU nor the FEDs require 2 forms of ID to send cash, 1 form of ID is plenty. There is something fishy about this WU exprerience, I have an idea what but rather not say in the open.

I've never had to show ID. I always go in the hood somewhere at a payday loan store or a checks cashed place and they never asked anything.

Make it simple go to a little store were people are dum and dont ask questions! Some places they train ppl to be nosey! Like a amscot shit like that.I go to publix or somewere they dont do alot of money sending.I know them people can be so snoopy, its all bullshit. But thanks to that asshole bush all you dumasses revoted in to fuck your country up! need i say more?
Its still amazes me how people would realect a guy that cheated on florida votes to win and was clearly beating in the race..Dam makes my country look like a bunch of dum asses live here... :worried:

Like the others above I never have to use an ID - head to a grocery store or a pawn shop. Anything under 1K = no ID. I have never been given any crap. Sounds very fishy. Also, if you are sending large amounts (over 1K) tell your source you need to send the money in multiple shipments - break it up to under 1K for each. n Works for me and it skirts the ID issue.

grocery store, i see so many hispanics going to the one near my house and send $$ back to mexico, el salvador...rolls of cash too !!! and no questions asked by the clerk...

BINGO !! and you sir get the prize ..

Never try the western union inter-net money transfer as you need to phone them for authorization and they will flat out say ... This transaction does not meet out security protocal .

I try'ed sending money in this manner to tel aviv once and got the " big " sorry can't help you today sir speach ... not even for roids !!!

Western union can take a long drawn off pull from the snotty end of my f_ _ _
stick ... lol

There are other methods of payment that work faster and better imo .

Yeah, the cutoff for showing ID on your end is $1000. I notice there is a seperate form for sending cash to Mexico, maybe the rules are different there? You sending to Mexico? I also use a false name when using WU, and have never been asked for ID.

bro find the mexican hangout and use the WU there...theyre not gonna care where its going or if u have ID. Or go to a skanky grocerystore/gas station

I recently send WU to China and they didn't ask for anything other than their form filled out and the cash. It was under $1000 and it was done at a Rite Aid store.

I've always been skeptical about WU after my friend got scammed buying some car parts and he found out that it is one of the most unsafe ways of sending money. Suprisingly he said that wiring money from one account to another is also very unsafe. I guess Money Orders and cashiers checks are the best but not the most accepted

Go to any foreign country store. I personally preffer my middle eastern/indian/pakistani/chinese types that have their 7-11 type joints around the black ghettos. These guys sell anything and everything. ID...lmfao..they would laugh at you.....all they want is your money. Hel for an extra 20$ they would sell you a reactor, or missle launccher. Good guys!

That is a bunch of fucking bullshit. You need to slap that mother fucker. It is not his job to tell you bullshit like that. The only time that you need to show 1 ID to them is if you are sending over $1000 dollars or receiving that much. Other than that the person picking up the payment dose not have to show any ID just answer the Test Question and Answer if it is under $1000. I send and pick up Western Union very often and if one of them looks at me crazy or says some stupid shit they will get knocked the fuck. It is not there job to wonder who the money is going to or why you are there picking it up.

They ussualy ask for ID behind bullet proof glass in an armored room. They feel confident in that position. Like they are the law. I gues they feel like they are Ronei Coleman for the 6-8 hours their in there. Like i said screw currency exchanges. Your best freinds are the grocery stores. Especially where people send alot of money to foreign countrys, Mehico etc.

I never had that much of a problem and I live in AZ. There are so many shady WU places... you can always find one that does not give a fuck.
