To answer your question, I played and excelled at multiple sports, so was pretty popular by default. Football is so huge around here that if you're any good, you're God, so I was always pretty well known.

If it wasn't for sports I would definitely be more of a loner. I like to read a lot, enjoy my peace and quiet, and hang out with a very small group of close friends. Idk if this makes me a loner or just a huge jerk, but I moved out in the middle of nowhere in the country so I could be away from people. Completely pisses me off when I'm off and at home and people are calling/texting me bugging the shit out of me to go do something.

Popular and kind of a loaner if that makes sense. I excelled at ice hockey since I played it since I was 6 yrs old and we had a great team through high school. Started going to the gym at age 16 when I could drive so I did that every day after school with a close friend/ lifting partner. Popular with everyone but I wasn't a partier so, while I got invited to everything I never went because I didn't drink or care to party so I was a loaner in that regard. I had a serious steady girlfriend through high school and we'd just hang out and fuck every night, I miss those days.

Cool fucking story.
 
I excelled in cross country in a big city so fk no I wasn't popular I had only close freinds and probably only had sex with two girls my whole highschool life .. I think that's what motivated me to get huge af out of highschool ..
 
I played lacrosse, polo and drove an antique mustang

I was popular as fuggggg. Tons of parties.

but read, painted, sculpted and hung out in the woods a lot with my border collie..so plenty of alone time too

I was kind of "popular".

I was the captain of the baseball team and had lots of friends in every circle. I had friends that were jocks, cheerleaders, skaters, nerds, choir, drama, band, etc.

My entire grade got along really well because we had a lot of kids that were just really nice to everyone and it made high school pleasant and fairly drama free.

I wasn't a student body officer or anything, but I was well liked. I was nice to everyone and if people didn't like me I didn't give a crap because that was their problem.

I played sports so had some popularity that way but was more of a loner. I was too scared of my dad to do anything all the cool kids did.

How about some hockey player in you?

I'm a lefty, typically played right wing I liked shooting from the right hash. Never fought much and no broken bones. Full masks are required through college but all the men's leagues I played in after college were helmet only; no masks. Wish I had time to play now but it just doesn't happen anymore.

^^^ This, my parents were overprotective and I didn't do drugs or alcohol, did have lots of sex in my senior year, same guy and protected sex though, because unlike 2 other classmates I didn't want to be knocked up at prom... Not that I went to prom...

Loner here. Library nerd; didn't fit into any group, and would say that I was the most UNpopular kid in high school. But with that said, nobody hated me or anything... just didn't give me the time of day. And I was fine with it that way!

Nope. I was pretty low on the social totem pole. A drama geek who was painfully shy and socially awkward with close to zero fashion sense. I made an easy target for the mean girls lol. By 12th grade I was so sick of getting picked on that I pretty much shut down any attempt at a social life or maintaining friendships, burried my face in my books, and bid my time till graduation. I didn't even go to prom.

Things have changed :)

I have fun running into people from HS nowadaws, in the rare times I do...the reactions are hilarious.

I was well known, because I was cute (no really) muscular and played football, which carried a lot of weight in the south. I would not say I was popular. It's weird yet depressing how many female classmates tell me now how studly they thought I was then....bitches are all married with teenage kids now.

I was drunk in High School. Did not play football therefore not popular. Way more popular today with my high school crowd than I was during high school.

I was a musical theatre kid, so I was friends with all those kids. I wouldn't say I was popular either. I was never into partying or anything so I never went the places I was invited and just kept doing way cooler theatre stuff. :D haha

...but I was fucking hideous then, so I was solely the loser funny friend.

Well, you're not totally wrong, but I was a pretty girl then...just in a mousy way. One of the popular guys who was nice to me then once told me, years later, that he always thought I looked like Lea Thompson in back to the future haha.

The bigger change was my attitude/personality. And learning how to pluck my eyebrows.
 
I was Opinion Editor of the School Paper and every month I wrote a column about my underwear so I was well known. Maybe even popular.

There was enough overlap with the newspaper, debate team, and drama club that we had one big clique; and I was king of the nerds.

Never been a loner.

Annie, there were two times I thought about it. I just have never been attracted to women as much as I have men, or really at all. But I can think of one time I almost initiated something just because our emotional bond was so intense. LOL

I dont have those kind of friendships with women anymore. I don't have time or the energy to devote to them :(
