...you know I used to come to this place for a reason. This used to be a fun place to visit. I miss several peeps including May, BOS(I think he was a little immature, but I enjoyed his sense of humor at times as well as our BOS vs. Fattie threads) and some others. Should they have been banned - don't know as it happened b-4 my modship, so I do not question it. Just calling things like I see them.

This place has become Holier than thou in a lot of ways and a lot of the members wish to flex their first amendment muscle over a lot of piddly-ass topics.

I'm tired of the rascist, homophobic, and otherwise unpalletable topics I see bantered around under the premise of free speech. It is strictly your right to post whateverthehell you wish, but that freedom ends when it violates the freedom and wishes of others, and it obviously does not protect you form making an ass of yourself.

My advice - find the ignore button and use it. If a thread gets out of hand and degrades into a shit slinging contest I WILL lock it, whether posted by male, female, member, mod Elite mod, EF Chris, LEO or George himself. No exceptions. I'm tired of this fucking double standard I see day in and day out. When I lock something I will tell you why and I will leave it up if I feel there is something to be learned from it.

And to the few members who wish to stir up trouble in little bites at a time, just remember that every dog has his day and there are quite a few of you who might be ready to find that out.

People are LEAVING this site for a reason. Some members want to complain the newly appointed mods don't seem to post very much anymore. The reason is that the mods have been around, in general, a lot longer than most of you, and we remember the board when it used to be fun. Most days now it just blows a goat to come on here.

Anyone who disagrees with me, feel free to post up as I will not lock it down unless it becomes a shit-storm. You guys need to remember that the mods are still members here just like you and we do care what happens to it. It can become great again or it can continue degrading into the waste of electrons it is rapidly becoming.

i am a pretty new member, but have been a person who goes on forums for years, every forum goes thru cycles, they grow, become popular and then people leave, repeating over and over....some members stick it out no matter what, others see the repetitive nature of the beast and therefore leave because of it.

Forums are what you make them cornholio, when you say they are not fun anymore it is because people have allowed them to become that way, the answer, try to be more fun and entertaining. Alot of members on here like to bitch and complain to each other and thats usual, but the vast majority of the drama on this board is undoubtably unnessacary as well as unwarranted.

I dont think one of those people still posts here. I know winny and captain awesome are on triedia, and I belive Beast, BOS, and May are all IP banned and couldn't post even if they wanted to.

If you want to see all the banned members go to another board and see them all. Your post is a good one and there should not be double standrads. Folks who have been banned in the past where warned and warned and thought they where above elite. Do you realize how many posters are just kids trying to fit in somewhere? I have never officially left. Right now I just need a vacation from the site and would like to eplore other sites.Plus the fact that I really have a very busy year ahead which will make my future mind blowing fucking lucrative.

I got too wrapped up in this place lately. That's why I took a couple of days away from it this week. Then I realized it was all really pathetic. So now I'm back and plan on sharing my life, my dreams, and my pooping schedule.

I do still think that there is a double standard here and there are a couple of things I'd like to see instituted that I believe would improve this place. First and foremost, I'd like to see a set standard of rules governing picture posting. Only Platinum can upload pictures, but what about linking them, having other members upload them for someone else, and where they are allowed to stay. Second, I think any time a mod "moderates" something by editing, locking or deleteing, they should pm the member who they "moderated". And last, I think all karma should be user name based. The blind karma system encourages juvenile behavior.

In conclusion, I do not have to poop right now but updates will be posted as the situation changes.

Second, I'm confused as to what exactly is this "double standard" that has been referred to. The only double standard I have seen at this board is what threads get locked and what members get banned. It seems perfectly acceptable to sterotype and make fun of many racial groups such as :
Asians (see all of EYEPEE'S threads, I can guarantee that if someone created a similar character based on a black sterotype, many members would not find it so "humorous")
poor whites (no one is "offended" when they are called white trash, trailor trash, honkey, cracker,etc) and others. Yet if the dreaded "N" (nigger if you are confused) word is used the thread is immediately locked in rightous indignation.
I do not advocate the use of derogatory terms such as those above, I just find the the hypocrisy in the choice of which threads to lock/delete interesting.
Final note: These are just random observations and are no way intended to imply that the author, in any way, actually gives a shit what you lock, who you ban, or anything else in this non-existent cyber world that is Elite Fitness. Have a nice day.
