I did weighted dips for the first time in a wihle on Thursday. But, my gym has NO weight belts nor do i own one. I was trying to figure out what to do and this is what i came up with:
I took this long strap that people use for stretching and i made it into a large loop by tying the two ends together. Then i put one end of the loop through the hole in the weight, then i looped the other end of the loop around the weight and back through the other loop that went through the hold. Pulled tight.
Now i have the loop strapped to the weight with a large loop left over. I then kinda shimmey into this loop and let is rest over my huge ass! The weight dangled between my legs and i was able to bang out some sets with the 45's [5x5 routine].
My tris are sooo burnt today.
My other thought would be to take the strap, tie loops in either end of it, then use of the Caribeners that they use on the hanging leg raise things and create my loop that way.
