Ways of using papaya

Found out that papaya fruit is very good for digestion because it has very potent enzymes. I have even seen how it desintegrates meat when it is left together. Do you think it will help lower blood sugar and digest better the carbs if I eat it regularly? Here where I live right now it is dirt cheap )

Papaya fruit is a rich source of valuable proteolytic enzymes, such as papain, chymopapain, caricain and glycyl endopeptidase, that can greatly aid in the digestive process of protein.

That's why you can't make Jello with Papaya pieces in it. The papaya will digest the gelatin and the Jello won't set.

However, the digestive enzymes will not help regulate blood sugar or help digest carbohydrates. Papaya is actually very high in sugar and not the best option if you want low

There are a couple things you can do to lower blood sugar:

1. Stick to low GI carbohydrates like oatmeal, brown rice and sweet potato. Fruits are fine in moderation but the problem with fruit is that it's very high in sugar and will cause a spike in blood sugar and insulin. I would limit fruit to one serving per day max.

2. A good nutrient portioning supplement like N2slin from n2bm.com will also help because it will increase muscle insulin sensitivity.

3. Supplement with 6-10g of fish oil per day to increase muscle insulin sensivity as well.

Papaya & pineapple are known to help with digestion, so I always try to include these in my diet once in a while or at least get a enzyme complex which contains papain

While it would help with digestion you would not want to eat too much of it. It is actually a higher sugar fruit. Stick to carbs like oatmeal that are lower on the glycemic index. They will not spike your blood sugar levels like the high GI carbs do. You can also try adding SR-9009. It is known to lower blood glucose levels on top of helping with fat loss and endurance.

I have personally seen how good papaya is for digestion, but I would not expect it to lower your blood sugars, or affect the insulin sensitivity. Therefore, if you want to do one of these things, better opt for things that were meant for sugar control. Besides, keep in mind that papaya will also have a lot of fructose, so it is good to eat a bit of it from time to time, but in moderation.
