Last night my bf and a bunch of our friends were out at a club in Minneapolis. Anyhow it was hot as hell so we decided to go upstairs and stand by the entry way for a smidge to cool down. Then I noticed that about 5 feet away from me was a guy I used to date. He was trying to get me to go over and hug him etc and I pretty much blatently blew him off. I felt like a bitch and when he saw me a couple of other times that night he gave me really nasty looks, but I didn't feel like that was respectful to my bf or something I was comfy with. I know that if one of my bf's ex's was wanting to hug him and catch up I'd not be the happiest girl in the land. Should I have handled it differently or was it okay to be fairly impolite to avoid a less than comfy situation for my significant other?

If he is secure enough that shouldnt have been a problem.
A ex is still a person you have shared love with. That shouldnt make you uncomfertable.

I think the way she reacted was fine........at the end of the day none of us know the full situation except Raina so it might well have been inappropriate for her to speak to this guy.

However this site is definitely full of insecure men
