LOL. We aren't communicating because there was no time for us to do anything. Then, she came into the bar when I was bouncing weekend before last and made an issue out of the fact that I did not try to talk to her a lot (I gave her a hug when she came in and we spoke briefly), even though I tried to explain that I had only had three hours of sleep and it was hard for me to talk much in a crowded bar when I was supposed to be watching the crowd. I thought I told her in a very cordial way- put my hand on the small of her back, tried to make sure my tone of voice was friendly so she wouldn't think I was being an asshole. Two of her friends were right there, too, so it wasn't an ideal situation and I was not terribly comfortable. And, of course, we were in a noisy bar. After work, I even called her when I got home to try to assure her that I had in no way been trying to ignore her. She said "OK", but when I talked to her the following Monday, she brought it up and imitated everything I had told her in the bar, except the way she imitated what I had said was not how I had said it, which makes a HUGE difference. She said I had "bitched her out" and that I acted shitty. I calmly disagreed and said that I had not meant it like that at all and that was really not how I had talked to her, but the fact that her perception was so obviously skewed even after I had tried to communicate with her and that she was taking issue with such a trivial thing after only a couple of casual dates really turned me off. I guess she could tell that I was not too enthused with her attitude, because she came up and said she was sorry for being bitchy a little later on (I was working in the library and she was studying). By that time though, the little red flag in my mind had already popped up. We didn't talk much after that and didn't call each other. Then I went to jail Thurs/Fri. We saw each other last night when I was bouncing. I said "hi" when she came in the door, and she gave a brief wave and said nothing- just walked on in.
So fuck it.

Damn C...you are prolly the only guy on EF who had this type of problem with a woman. I'm thinking therapy, medication, and self analysis are in order.
