Walmart looting = Reparations for Blacks

I agree with a lot of people in this posts...I have a half black friend I have known for 6 years and he lives with me...Hes a great athlete and goes to college on a scholarship to play football because he didnt come from anything but he wanted to make something of his life and not just piss and moan. That being said there were 42 black kids who were seniors last year at my high school...only 19 graduated with us. I mean if you dont try and then later say its because you never had a chance thats bullshit...You need to get your act together, you live in the United States and with affirmitive action and everything now a days...your telling me its because we are holding them back on purpose???

Black, White, Mexican, Asian... Bad people are bad people. I know some white people that have been thru some serious shit and are scum.. and i mean scum! I also know some black people that were raised that way but have turned out to be good people. Lawers and Doctors.

Your life is what you make of it... no matter your race or sex or how much money you have.

I will not now nor ever discriminate due to race or sex.

we are in a state of emergency and all you people can seem to bring up is the fact that 'black' people are robbing and all this horrible stuff. Step up to the plate, make a difference. Put your energy to something positive and help get these people out of this desperate situation.

I AM donating my time and services to the evacuees as much as I can. Going and cook, help provide. Give what ever money I can and services I can.

I am in the process of raising money for the red cross as we speak. Going out and getting donations.

So you gather I was singling you out? We dont agree on everything but not one f**king time did i say that you wern't doing anything to help. Now don't f**king assume I'm not either.

This is one of the saddest threads I have ever read since becoming a member of this board back in 1999. I am reading a lot of regurgitated BS and others claiming to know the cause and effect of the ills within the black community. A levee broke that caused the flooding in New Orleans. The response to the situation down there has been slow. People are dying. Is this what one should expect from a cilvilized country. What does 19 out of 42 blacks graduating from a high school have to do with the response time and/or the levee not being fixed ? Is this some kind of justification for the slow response ?

A friend out in Atlanta took in over 50 people from the New Orleans area. Residents (not "refugees" like the news are reporting) are going any and everywhere.

This is a very sad, sad time in our country. Wish you all would see this for what it is.

Looking forward to reading some of the post, the next time I see rioting after a NHL, MLB or NCAA championship.

As someone who has first-hand knowledge of rioting after NHL Stanley Cup final (Montreal in 1993), let me just say that riot was on account of ridiculous amounts of booze. It's totally different. Don't you dare tarnish the splendor of a good Cup riot by comparing it to the situation in New Orleans.
