This is one of the saddest threads I have ever read since becoming a member of this board back in 1999. I am reading a lot of regurgitated BS and others claiming to know the cause and effect of the ills within the black community. A levee broke that caused the flooding in New Orleans. The response to the situation down there has been slow. People are dying. Is this what one should expect from a cilvilized country. What does 19 out of 42 blacks graduating from a high school have to do with the response time and/or the levee not being fixed ? Is this some kind of justification for the slow response ?

A friend out in Atlanta took in over 50 people from the New Orleans area. Residents (not "refugees" like the news are reporting) are going any and everywhere.

This is a very sad, sad time in our country. Wish you all would see this for what it is.

Looking forward to reading some of the post, the next time I see rioting after a NHL, MLB or NCAA championship.

some people like to have conversations and expand thier minds with critical thinking, right or wrong its part of the process of exchanging ideas and opinions and learning from that process.

although i do understand that some people dont like to do that.
