Okay, I am vegetarian but also trying to lose weight and tone of course. I know how to work out but being vegetarian obviously limits me to how much protien I can get.. Anyone with any tips? I can't just eat veggies all day heehee

I eat eggs but not all that often, I do not drink regular milk but I eat cheese. Weird I know. I drink soy milk and cook with soy milk.

i was vegetarian for 7 years
well i ate eggs and cheese also
hard to get good protien without mega carbs since you are combining legumes and grains
not sure you can cut while being vegetarian
a good book on the mechanics of vegetarianism is "diet for a small planet" by francis moore lappe should help
also check out "eat right to keep fit" by adelle davis
good luck

Not ideal being a vegetarian when trying to hold on to/gain lean mass (derived from protein aka COMPLETE amino acid pools). Just stating what you'll come to realize. Soy is a weak choice, milk sucks, leaving you w/eggs. Protein shakes are fine, but if you don't drink milk, I suspect you won't drink whey. In any event, liquid pales in comparison to real food which you need for satiety, nutrients, and metabolism purposes.

swole,
that was my thinking also

francis moore lappe in her book suggest combining foods to come up with the protien make up of an egg which she felt was the best for the human body

while i was vegetarian i still ate eggs
and used cheese to combine with some legumes to complete protien

but would be very hard to be a bb and vegetarian at the same time
