Pellegrino wins by rear naked choke at 2:04 of the first. Both fighters came out swinging, with Pellegrino later scoring a takedown. Kurt landed a heavy punch then moved to the crucifix position, and later to his opponent's back where he forced the tap at the 2:04 mark.

James worked some brutal knees to the head and body from the clinch in the opening minute of the round. Guida scored a takedown and some ground and pound that had James reeling. With 40 seconds left in the period, James nearly finished the fight with a deep armbar, but Guida fought it off with a beautiful escape. Silva, 1st round TKO. Absolutely decimated Franklin. Silva kneed the body in the thai clinch to the point where Rich just kept his hands down to avoid more punishment and then Silva went upstairs. I thought Rich was looking to run out of the octagon as he was totally frustrated and never got anything going.
