True Arms Size

I was reading some articles by Aurthur Jones. (Mike Mentzer's intellectual God)
Anyway he claims to have personally messured the arm of the great SERGIO OLIVER, Arnold, Mike Metzner and Bill Pearl.
Sergio's arms came in at over 20 1/8"
Arlnold claimed 22.5", he came up at just over 19"
Bill Pearls biggest was at 18 5/8"
Mike M came up at just over 18", when he claimed 20" cold.
So what's your opinion, are the champs stating pumped meaurements when bulked up (but they claim cold).
Or does Aurthur have a strange way of measuring?
I got close to 19" years ago, but they didnt look close to Arnies 19(??).
Still think Segio look fantastic with his true 20+ arms.

my friend has shredded 16 3/4 arms and everyone thinks they are atleast 18......i wonder how big steiners really are?

LOL.....what is wrong with you?Aronlds arms are a little over 19'???...LOL yea right...his arms were over 21in...pumped maybe 22in or so...he had 19in arms long ago when he was younger.....on stage they where over 21in.....

Like I said I was around 19" once, they looked NOTHING near Arnolds mass.
Yes I believe Aurthur is suffering some sort of disfunction

I am just presenting the story as I read it and in an unbiased way (almost). It's not my article.
Personally I think Arnies arms would have been close to what he claimed, 22.5
And Mike at 18", don't think so.
Sergio would have been 22 i think?

Your arms aren't a certain size indefinitely, mine fluctuate between 18 - 19 all the time. Depends on what I'm up to<cycling?> and how much I'm weighing at the time.

Arthur Jones is full of sh-t on this one. My arms measure 18 inches cold. I've known and worked out with many of the pros... and these guys have guns that make my arms look like tooth picks. I've also seen powerlifters who had 19" arms cold... and you could noticeably tell their arms were bigger than mine... and the pros I have seen (who had arms in the 20-22 inch range) definitely had arms that looked much bigger flexed and cold.

I saw Mike training for years before he died. He was (then) sporting 16" guns at best.

Jones has to be doing something wierd on the measuring.

bros its common knowledge that athletes always pump up their measurements. What keeps puzzling me is why in the hell all the entertainment places are claiming that vin diesel is 6'2, the guy is short as hell.

Wow, Mike had 16" tooth picks, you kidding me ?
Or was that when he was know where near his best size?
How tall was he?
I always liked his training method (mostly) and he looked big.

I met Nasser about 5-6 years ago in OZ(guest appearance), yes he was packing also, but Jones may have said he had 18" arms LOL.

Ummm...Mine are just under 19 1/2 with a pump and they look no where near as big as arnolds or Mentzers did.

i read an interview of mentzer that said when he was competing his arms were less than 19inches

but at 5/6%bf 18 looks like 20 (especially if your 5'8")
