Thanks bro. I'm feeling pretty good. I'm just concentrating on posing and making some final preparations to ensure that I come in my hardest and fullest when it counts.TrailerParkTrash said:You're leaning down very nicely onerepmax!! Everything thing seems to be on track!
onerepmaximum said:Thanks Boarding and everyone else. I'm going to experiment this weekend and try to drop my water to see if I can do what I think I can do.
SuperQT, well, maybe we should save this one for the BTS forum.....
Not2B, she did get back with me, but not on the deadlift question. At first I was thinking that it has something to do with letting the blood come out of your muscles so they will look more cut. I know that you don't want to work legs about 10 days out from a show so you can really get the cuts. But she said 10 weeks for deads. Maybe there is less chance of injury. Then again, maybe she will see this question and answer it for us. I kind of feel bad because she has really put alot of time in writing me some detailed instructions for these last few weeks. She is really a great lady who is very knowledgable about bodybuilding. You can see that just by looking at her pics though.
Trailerpark, I'm gonna let you two handle this one by yourselves.Although I would recommend to anyone who is going to compete for the first time to get a video tape on posing. The one that I got and probably just about everyone just getting into it gets first is called "Perfect Posing" and it really sheds some light on things that otherwise, you probably wouldn't think about.
Right on man, I think I can handle it. Should I edit my sig? I'm excited to see if things happen the way that I hope they do. Ya'll will be the second to know.TrailerParkTrash said:onerepmaximum, this board could use one diplomatic Pole - looks like you're itGood luck with the water-dropping experiment this weekend!!
Good point. I wouldn't want to damage my standing in the ESoB.TrailerParkTrash said:Yes, I think a new sig line is definitely in order!!
(but don't ask us for suggestions - you're the diplomatic one, not me - you might not like what I say)LOL

Awesome progress! You look great & I'm dying to see the contest pix. How's the water depletion going? Man, the last three weeks suck the big one, especially trying to dial in your depletion phases to hit it on the day of the show & not the day after.
Good luck & keep that killer focus so you don't lose your mind in the last few days!
Sometimes when I am working on my posing from the side, since my lower back kind of stick out a little, it looks like fat (to me). I hope it doesn't to the judges too.powerslave said:Outstanding bor! Quads looking good. And damn that low back!
onerepmaximum said:.... my lower back kind of stick out a little, it looks like fat .....
onerepmaximum said:Thanks for all the comments. The mind games are in full force for me right now. One minute I feel like I'm gonna show up at weigh in and ruin somebody's day, the next minute I feel like I'd be better served to stay home the day of my contest and wash my hair or something.
As always, thanks for the good info. I'll work on positioning my arms on the front and back poses. I won't be at the AC this year, but I'm sure that it will be a great time. Don't get into too much trouble. Thanks for all of your help QSS.Quadsweep's Sister said:Well - just remember you can't wash your hair for about 3 days after you start putting on that pro-tan...LOL. Just kiddin ya, I think your pics look really good. I can tell you've really worked hard on your water depletion experiment - it served you well. Again - i think your shape is really pleasing to the eye. Remember when posing not to hold those arms out too far from your body as in pics - just a suggestion. You never want to see too much space between your appendages and your body while posing and in stances. Again, I wish you all the best. If going to the Arnold Classic - i'll be at the Beverly Booth...working.
I've been spending a few hours each night in front of the video camera, making sure that when I hit a pose, it looks the same in my head as it looks to the camera. Things are coming along and I have made some good improvements that I think should help me to show the goods in pre-judging. Thanks QSS and everyone else who offered input. I'm gonna post more pics this weekend. 2 weeks to go!!!onerepmaximum said:As always, thanks for the good info. I'll work on positioning my arms on the front and back poses. The night after I took these photos, I was messing with my leg poses from the rear and I noticed that if I plant my toe then rotate my knee down and press back, my hammies look sick. I think I got that one figured out. Good observation maing.Lumberg said:You're going to do fine bro.
One that pose from the back your legs don't look hard, maybe try different ways to flex your legs to make the striations stand out more.

Bro, wait till you see the contest pics. I will be vascular in those. While you can see a few veins in these, I was holding a good 10 pounds of water more than I was the morning before. It's gonna be sick on game day. Thanks for the comments.ChewYxRage said:looking vascular as hell.
good work and good luck at the competition.
onerepmaximum said:Don't be hating on my outtie, that's gonna be what I use to get the judges' attention.
March 20. It's kind of funny because I have been tanning a lot and my whole body is tan except for my outtie. I guess something about that skin that makes it resist tanning. It looks funkier than usual.Becoming said:If you want I will send you a sharpie you can draw a little game face on him....

what day is the contest again?

onerepmaximum said:Lumberg, my belly button pokes out in my shirts and people ask to see it at the gym where I'm a trainer. There was a pretty cute girl poking it tonight like I was the Pillsbury Dough Boy or something.
I hope he's in my weight class. I got something for him. (An oven preheated to 350 degrees)TrailerParkTrash said:I still think the Pillsbury Dough Boy still has a bit of an edge on you![]()

That's not a most muscular, it's a front double bi. I keep my bi's above my delts to try to make them look a bit bigger. Really no requirement on how to do it, I just think it looks better. It was a tough choice for me. There was less shadow in the second one, I think that's why I chose it.Lumberg said:I like the second one cos you can see your intercostals and ass better. Also I like your smile better.
Also when doing the most muscular aren't your upper arms supposed to be parallel to the ground?
onerepmaximum said:That's not a most muscular, it's a front double bi.
onerepmaximum said:Two weeks out. Don't mind the lack of cuts and the bloated gut. It was the result of a glycogen load experiment that went wrong. I'm back to normal now, don't worry. I probably won't post pics again until after the contest. Lumberg, I have been working on smiling, and if I can remember on stage, I'm gonna do it. I'm not smiling in these pics because I thought I had ruined the last 3 months of hard work.

I posted a pic on the anabolic forum for that inspirational physique contest. I figured, why not? It's not like I stay in this kind of shape year round. So here it is for those of you who check this thread. I'll post two of the ones I took today. The top one is the one I chose for the contest. Not sure which one is better, but oh well.

Don't worry Seashell, the outtie will be around as long I'm drawing breath. No plans to fix it.
Quadsweep's Sister said:Hey - don't you look great! Haven't been on in a while - been working out of town. These pics are much better and show me how tiny your waist really is - a genetic gift from the Bodybuilding Gods! I am really excited for you. I believe your show is coming up this weekend? Let me know how you do and remember to have a great time and not stress. Congratulations on all your hard work - well done!
Thanks man. 6 months ago, my back was a weakness. Just train, eat and sleep and you'll do it. Thanks for the compliments bro.Boardin087 said:looking awesome bro, ill give karma when i can. very inspirational, wanna give me half ur back....... just half
onerepmaximum said:Here are a few pics from the pump up area. I have some better ones on the way, should be at least a few weeks though. I'll post them when I get them. I got first in my weight class, but missed the overall by one point. I got beat by the heavyweight. Maybe next time.

I hope I at least hit this one right on stage!

Yeah, dropping the water makes a huge difference. I have a video tape on the way. I'm trying to figure out what I can do to put it on my computer. I'm thinking I either need TV card or put it on DVD. I'll try to figure it out though. I should have some good pics if nothing else.super_rice said:shit man, your abs didn't look like that a week ago. all that planning worked perfectly.. they showed up for contest day! good job.
you got a viddy of the contest by any chance?
ditto on the vascularity
onerepmaximum said:Yeah, dropping the water makes a huge difference.
I did what QSS said. I drink around 2 gallons a day up until the Wednesday of the show. On Wednesday, I get 1.5. On Thursday 1 gallon and on Friday half a gallon. I try to avoid sodium as much as I can once I start cutting water. I still get it from eggs and chicken and whatnot, I just don't add it to anything. Also, starting Wednesday, I only drink distilled water with no sodium.Sweed said:How many days out to u drop water? I know you should only be taking in like 16 oz. of water a day , at most, a few days out.
I started taking potassium when I started restricting water and sodium (Wednesday before the show). I took 99mg with every meal (about every 2.5-3 hours) not sure if that is what everyone else does or not, but it seemed to work ok. I was also snacking on dried plums. Plenty of carbs and a lot of potassium.Sweed said:Did you use any potassium during those last few days? That still seems like a lot of water... but if it worked, then thats great! Thanks for the info!
Thanks bro. I appreciate that. This last experience has been kind of bittersweet for me. I explained it in more detail in the C&C thread. To make a long story short, I lost the overall title by one point to the heavyweight as a result of the good ole boy network. I can't wait to get the pics that I paid for so I can post them up and let everyone here see why I was so amazed. I'm just gonna keep doing my part though and hope that in the future everyone else does theirs. I appreciate all of you guys (and gals) and your encouragement and motivating comments.TQpew said:congrats on the win. from those pics, you earned it.
Thanks bro. It was nice to be there and have the other body builders give me compliments on my conditioning and ask me for tips and stuff. Not bad for my 3rd competition. Next Saturday will be my first time competing in the open division. I'm looking forward to seeing how I stack up.Xero said:im glad all your hard work payed off, feels good dont it
I don't believe in limiting carbs or fats just for sake of limiting them. I limit carbs and get as much protein as I can. I suppose that carbs and fat will be limited as a function of that type of diet, but that's not my intent. I suppose my carbs were between 100-200 per day unless I was try to get more in purposely to harden my muscles up.jaymis said:good job dude, how many carbs a day do you eat when dieting, do you believe in low carb
Physically, I'm ready. More lean probably than I was before. Mentally, I barely feel like I have a show in 4 days. I think it is the fact that none of my boys are going to compete too. I hate depending on meeting someone there that will help me with my tan and stuff like that. The less left to chance, the better.TrailerParkTrash said:Good luck on Friday... not that you'll need it
How do you feel you compare in terms of readiness as opposed to the last contest?
True dat maing. I'm gonna go rep EF, the bors and the NKC.TrailerParkTrash said:Don't worry.. we will all be there in spirit - if that's of any help ..LOL
