Training with a hangover

I've done it....often makes me feel better.....I'm not sure if it is benefical gains wise.

depends how hung over you are I guess.

I don't see how. . . .if you are dehydrated and taking more water out of the system. . .how can you possibly feel better?

Plus, there is still a degree of alcohol floating in the system that still has an impact on the nervous system, which can cause lack of balance and coordination. You also run the risk of blacking out, which poses as a dangerous situation.

Personally, I would rather train at 100 percent when the body is 100 percent healthy. The body is already under immense stress because it is trying to recover from poison that has entered and polluted the system.

poison??? uh no.. actually it was tequilla :)

anyway- if I start drinking alot of water now...I would be hydrated in the afternoon??? or skip lifting & go for a run... but I think heavy lifting is def out!

well, sweating for one thing I am guessing helps rid your body of some of the toxins....still in your system....

a lot of guys I know who worked construction would go to work in 100 degree weather and sweat it out, feel better by lunch time...

lifting/exercising also stimulates natural endorphin release....

If I was severly hung over.....forget it...but being moderately hung over, I will often try to get my ass to the gym.
