training splits (chest/bi, leg/tri, slder/back)

Hey everyone,

I have been doing some research on the site and my muscles mags for info. on training splits. Unfortunately, it seems that just about everyone has there own training splits.

I am hoping to get some advice from some advance members on my training split. I am wondering if there is any reason why my split below wouldn't work?

It is sort of a three day split routine. I cover the whole body in three workouts. The following workout I use completely different exercises following the same model.

For example:
chest 1= dumb bench, inc. flyes, cable cross
chest 2= inc. press, pec. deck, dips
(4 sets/10 reps. on each or as many as I can on the last set)
(except arms 3 sets/10 reps)

Day 1
Legs/tri/obliques

Day2
rest

Day3
chest/bi/ab

Day4
rest

Day5
shlders/back

Day6
rest

start over (with different exercises)

My main question: Any advantage to combining chest/tri and back/bi and shlder/legs?

Thanks in advance for any help.

i always hit chest and tris and back and bis, because when i did chest, i warmed up my tri's, and with back, i warmed up the bi's.

now that i think about it, that doesnt make any sense. what would make sense is chest and bi's, back and tri's, because each muscle group is fresh, therefore, it can be worked harder

My thoughts too.

That is what I was thinking when I put the plan together. My tri's/bi's would be fresh, however, I was hoping to get some feedback either way. Thanks for the reply.
