Training for cutting

Hi guys, I would like to know where to get a specific training for cutting, I work out 4 times a week but I tend to get bulky and that's not what I want, I'm looking more for the beach body look, Idk if it's my genes or what, but even doing light weights I get big and not cut and defined.

You need to give us more information - how do you train, what is your diet like?

Right of the bat I can say that you would need to do more cardio if you want to get leaner and cut, but yet again - without even the basic information about your training it is hard to advise anything at all.

you can absolutely train your ass off and lean up.

you can also just do a strict diet.

but combining BOTH and having them on point gives you the best chance

instead of asking how you can train, why not ask how i can improve my diet. gotta be in a consistent deficit

You should NOT change your workout routine when cutting. What put the muscle on in the first place is what will keep it there when on a low calorie diet.

A BIG mistake a lot of lifters make is lowering the weights they use during their workouts when cutting and training higher rep. That is a sure way to loose muscle.

Increase the amount of cardio you do when cutting but keep training hard and heavy. That will prevent muscle loss and keep your metabolism revving.

The changes you will have to make are in the diet and not the training. If you are bulking up it is because you are eating more than maintenance calories. You want to get into a deficit.

The 4 day split I like is chest/back/arms and shoulders/legs
