Too much protien preventing bodyfat loss?

Ok, I know a cal isn't a cal but I'm wondering if the reason my fat loss has stopped dead might be because of excess protien consumption

im taking in about 300g's of protien a day, not very many carbs at all (oats & skim milk/water for breakfast, scoop of brown rice for lunch and huge amounts of broccoli/cauliflower)

my fat consupmtion isnt high either, 2 x tblspns natty pnb ed, 4 egg yolks and whatever fat i get from the red meat I eat.

this is starting to depress me, I'm losing strength but seemingly no more fat :(
 
Just keep going, how much cardio u doing ?? i dont see y the protein would render u frm losing more weight.....if anything it should assist u in muscle growth and recovery....lemme know what kinda cardio routine ur doing....i myself consume around 250gs of protein a day........and ive never noticed any problems in shedding excess bodyfat.......
 
my 'cardio' is walking for 1-2 hours a day at about 4mph, or incline treadmill walking for 45mins.

I've found that anything more intense messes up my leg workouts so I don't do it.. im hoping to lose bf mainly with diet & weights

maybe I could drop the fat some more to get total cals down.. tuna for breakfast instead of eggs?
 
i would eat maybe 6-8 eggwhites, some oatmeal, etc. as far as cardio thats alot of cardio, too much cardio can cause u to lose that precious muscle mass.....i would recommend 45 mins on a treadmill....2 mins walking at say 3 mph, 1 min run at 7mph....thats what i do alternating for 45 mins.....i do it 5 days a week.....whew it will kick ur ass after a while, when u boost ur metabolism, then bring it back down, then up again....u will sweating like a whore in church....try it out man......
 
kill the milk for starters, don't mix high fat meals with carbs, don't eat carbs the last 4 hours before you go to bed and finally no 300 g of protein is not that much at all. Another thought is that I know a lot of guys dont count condiments such a bbq sauce and shit, so watch out for that stuff too if you get stuck. If all else fails just do more cardio.
 
My guess is that since you aren't taking in any carbs and very little fat, your body is burning the excess protien for fuel instead of bf. I would recommend taking in more fat. Your are probably losing muscle and that is why your strength in declining. Bam
