too much omega-3

I have been taking three tablespoons of flax oil every day for three years. This has been about 85% of the fat I consume. I have read that too much flax can cause you to need more omega-6. I read in Udo's book that a couple of years of just taking flax will cause an imbalance. Any one have any information on this? Thanks

Typically, a 2:1 - 1:1 n3 to n6 ratio is ideal. The typical "Western diet" is around 17:1 n6 to n3. Though you're taking flax, don't 'diss the fish oil, which is rich in EPA/DHA.

Fish oil's pretty good for the cholesterol yes, but I'd consider taking the flax in grounded seed form. During the processing of the oil nearly all of its vital nutrients are stripped away, rendering it pretty useless.

is omega 3 -> poly or mono ?
is omega 6 -> poly or mono ?
or is omega 3 and 6 efa and poly and mono efa's also?
trying to distinguise between all of them...
