I hat to rain on your parade, but we have been here before. The Eagles close the season out with a winning streak only to get bounced in the playoffs. I think they did make it to the superbowl one time didn't they? Anyway, history is not on the side of the Eagles as far as going to the Superbowl goes. Mcnabb looks good and their defense has gotten healthy, but I think they are primed for a let down in Washington. And I fully expect them to shoot themselves in the foot in the playoffs. Mcnabb will have one of his so so games and toss a couple of pics and they will get upset in the playoffs IMO.

Good Grief That was before the SuperBowl was created wasn't it? I think this illustrates my point quite well. They have done something to upset the Football Gods, something bad will happen in the playoffs and possibly sooner (like when they play the lowly Deadskins).

Even last year, the season was in turmoil bc of mcnabbs injury...he clearly wasnt 100%..if NE and Philly get homefield, that will be the superbowl, tho the one team in the afc that COULD win in NE is kansas city, with their strong running attack...umm...yeah i can see marc bulger bringing a dome team to philly in january and winning:rolleyes: :confused: or not! the city of philadelphia will riot itself out of existence if they lose at home again...

yeah man last year they went into the playoffs in not so good shape.

they are playing better this year they are looking better and Dawkins is back baby!!

wow, I love that unbeatable part. especially since it reminds me of last years playoffs...the Bucs cant win in cold temp and they cant beat the eagles in Philly...lol

Im with shadowfalcon on this. The eagles could lose to washington then have to go to St. Louis, where they will get bounced. Even if they win at washington and get homefield throughout, the rams will beat them, if not someone else.

it was good they lost...i can see st. louis getting bounced by dallas...if you dont live in philly, you could not imagine what an eagles vs. dallas NFC conference championship game would be like in philly...i hope they would have aikman announcing it too! the only words that come to mind are winning, and bad news!

Mcnabb has an occasional accuracy problem, and when it rears its ugly head in the playoffs, well BIG MOE can be deadly off of turnovers in the playoffs.

Just watch Mcnabb's accuracy, if you study where he places the ball with say 20 throws...often there are four to five throws that get tipped or nearly picked...he has an accuracy issue...not on every throw, just once in a while like one out of five.

Samething with Q Carter, except his accuracy is off 2 or 3 out of five sometimes :(
 
i agree mcnabb can have the tendency to really foul up a game...hopefully it will not happen in the playoffs, he's not an amateur, and they dont have the D this year to bail them out

Rams are gonna go to the bowl....all they have to do is beat Detroit to get home field (as if that's not gonna happen). Isaac Bruce has a better arm than McNabb, for God's sake.

The only one that makes me squirm a little is Favre in Philly. He could have something magical going on "destiny". I think the last 5 times GB and Philly played the Home Team won...so I chose Philly. As long as Philly doesnt choke again, and the Colts can upset the mighty chiefs...I should win this week...it is the NFL so who knows :confused:

They better have everybody in philly on suicide watch if they lose to the Packers. I know after the NY Giants broke my heart so many times and I was really miserable and pissed of because of it that I just stopped caring about them as much.
 
Being a Green Bay fan, I think this will be a great game. Sucks that Westbrook is out for the season for you. Do any Eagles fans know if Vincent is going to play? Also, how do you think the Eagles banged up D will do against Ahman Green? Not dissing or anything, just would like to disscuss. :)

Roger that. I understand :) Try living in Minnesota and being a Packer fan. It is a little difficult to make friends. BTW, how is The Lincoln? Looks pretty nice. I was at the Packer game on Sunday, and Lambeau looks really good. Anyone who likes football should try and see a game there, even if you are not a Packer fan. :)

I usually only get Viking games, and I was too cheap this year to spring for the Sunday Ticket. So, instead of spending $200 on Sunday Ticket, I had to go out to the bar to catch quite a few games (5 or 6), and drop $100 each time instaed. Real smart. ;)

Also, I am picking Carolina over the Rams. Bulger is too much like Warner. If you blitz the piss out of him, he freaks out and fumbles or throws a pick. Plus, Stephen Davis is a tough runner. The only wild card in the game is Mike Martz. If he decides to actually get the ball to Faulk, then the Panthers could be in deep shit.

What about Carolina? They looked strong while demolishing the 'Boys. Probably the second best D in the playoffs.

Anyways I agree with the NE prediction, I just love the spirit of that team.
 
McNair is sharp. I have always liked and respected him as a player. It wouldn't surprise me if they went to the Bowl. Plus, it seems as though George and Mason are playing inspired ball.

I've made it out of Metrodome alive while wearing a Packer jersey. In fact, I have a friend who is going to Philly for the game (Packer fan). Are his odds of escaping not good? :)

You don't need a 5 time Pro Bowl cornerback? I don't think you are being very realistic. Granted, the Packer receivers are not great, but they are above average.

there back ups can do the job just like they have done all season.

brian dawkins, bobby taylor, troy vincent, were all out at the same time at one point and they still carried through.

sure the he is a great player and i do love him. but what im trying to say is he would be better off sitting out and getting healthy for the championship game:)

this should be a tight game though honestly. both of us will biting our finger nails the entire time

I was 3-1 last week. I had Baltimore over Tenn for the 6th straight time, BUT Anderson hit a big field goal to end the game. (That 15 yard Personal Foul hurt!!)

Dude, I feel Tenn is too beat up to travel to foxsboro after a battle like last week against Baltimore. Dont think they will beat the Pats.

The colts could upset the Cheifs.

The GB vs Eagles game could go either way if Mcnabb is forced to pass before he is ready he will throw pics. The Eagles dont match up well against GB Oline and Green. i still pick the Eagles to win this week, a close game. Please dont forget the Eagles are known for choking in the playoffs.

Carolina has only beat two or three teams with a winning record. Most teams with a winnning record beat the Panthers this season. Carolina dominated Dallas, but I think the Rams Defense will surprise you in this game.

Now I realize you have been misinformed, and do you want to put some cash on the pats game? lol They have a 12 game winning streak, a week of rest, a great coach, and solid O and D line. They are unbeaten at home and won the superbowl recently. Titans are beaten up and battered, and they have BIG Heart, but not enough legs to beat the Pats this week - IMO

wert, good game. I think the Pack could run for 150 yards, I mean the "cold" wont bother the pack. The Eagles D is not exactly limping into to the game. They have like one or two on D with an "alleged ding". Dont forget in the playoffs, a coach could slightly exagerrate the injury so pack coaches gameplan for an injured player or run at the player or throw at him...it could be a trap.

I think I might give the coaching matchup to Reid, but Sherman has stepped it up the last few weeks. And yeah, the bye always helps. I think it has been a while since the buy team has lost in the Divisional.
