im realy not a big newbie i have been lifting for about a year!! i never really got into the whole powerlifitng i was always self concious about putting inches on my waist then i just said screw it and im getting to 300 by next summer so i just started eating like a horse!!

and what were the ums about??

a year of training is considered "newbie" bro. not knockin your progress but to someone who's hasn't lifted, your body will grow with either heavy shit or rep shit and you also plan on puttin on an additional 150lbs by next summer?? that's a pretty lofty goal for yourself...how do you plan on gettin there? to me IMO, that's too big of a goal for yourself and i would consider setting my goals a little more "realistic". but JMO, brotha. awesome job!! tb

Hats off to you guys here on the training board, you guys go out of your way to be nice to people, I cant imagine what would have happened if this posted on the anabolic board.:D

i'm a firm believer in "treat others as you would like to be treated" and we've all been beginners at some point and passing along information that's helpful is a pleasure to do. and lets not forget that we all lookin for ways to be stronger too!! tb

I've been consistently training for a bit over a year now...I consider myself to be a newbie! Still LEARNING...a lot!

Remember...you don't know what you don't know...

but we'll tell you! :)

Shit, I have been training for 8 years and still learn new things all the time that make my previous beliefs obsolete.

Ive been working out for alittle over a year too. And I still consider myself a newbie. I dont even know the proper form of upright rows :D.

Its not depending on how you grow it might be!! But i am living proof that high reps work works ok so on sept. 9th i was in the weight room at skool and we had to max out to find what we repd! well i maxed out at 205 and was reping 155 six times.

now it is oct. 9th and i maxed today i maxed out at 240 and i rep 175 six times!

ok now in two weeks i am hoping to rep 185 6 times and max at 250!!

by the way im 15 i weigh 140!! just thought id let you know!!

now these are great weights for your age and weight but you really need to critique yourself.

1) how is your bench form, do you bounce the weight, do you go all the way down with a slight pause, do your but come off the bench, is the lockout strong and controlled. if yes then great...

2)do you Squat, having one-dimensional strength is very limiting cause you lose so much valuable growth.

3) do you deadlift, having a strong back and core increases one's strength and size.

if you can answer yes to all those question then you are well on your way to being a good lifter

you plan to weight 300lbs by next summer? my god you will look awful with tons of stretch marks if that were even possible. right now I think shooting for 175-180 by next summer is reasonable

na u read that wrong!! i want to bench 300 by next summer nad weigh prob around 180 but i didnt specify that
