TITAN Training...update...WAHOO..I LOVE this SH@#!

80% + overtraining

That's great...I'm pulling 70% at most. The rounds are killers! As far as my earlier post about overtraining...this is my second week of TT and after the first week's workouts I DEFINITELY felt overtrained. Then, I workout yesterday and Monday and find that my I was able to bench 20 lbs more and squat 20 lbs more on my fifth sets on base days. Granted I just started barbell bench again so some of it is adjusting to the motion, but still! Every exercise I've done has gone up in weight/reps, including ones that I was doing already for 10 weeks before I switched programs. I wasn't even able to eat much at all last week since I had dental shit done! I'll update as I go, but so far TT is great for me.

Tronius,
I don't know if you remember me or not, but I am the powerlifter who wants to try this workout but can't cuz' he's training for a meet. Well anyway, I went on vacation for a week, and had to lift at a pussy country club type gym, where powerlifting wouldn't really be safe or possible. Since I had to take a week off of training, I decided to do TT for a week just for fun. Here are the results.
1). It is hard as shit
2). I increased my caloric intake by 25-40%, and still got noticeable leaner.
3). Gained 5lbs.
4). Had a non-stop pump all week.
5). I hit a PR this week when I went back to my PL'ing workout, and I expect to hit a few more.

The only differences I employed were doing a TKD instead of a CKD, because I knew I wouldn't be able to do the high reps without the pre-wkt carbs. I also drank an entire liter of diluted Gatorade mixed with 5 grams of BCAA's and Glutamine each (my own version of the product Glutacene). I think this really saved my ass in terms of soreness. Nonetheless, I give this workout two big fat thumbs up, and I am planning on finding a way to work it in to my powerlifting lifestyle. Any suggestions are appreciated. Later,
Joe

sweet man...glad to hear it. I'd be interested to see how you incorporate that into your powerlifting...

how close together are your competitions. The program is an 8 week cycle...maybe every month do a week of it or something to change things up

Tronious,
I generally only do two meets a year. My training cycles are about 12-14 wks. long with one week for the meet and one week for rest afterwards. That leaves me with at worst 20 wks. left. I could get in two cycles of TT. What I think would be fun to toy with would be alternating 8wks of TT with a condensed 8wk. PL cycle indefinitely. It would certainly keep things fresh. I think I would have a hard time convincing my partners to try that though. Something to think about...................

Joe

I think if you got your partners to at least try it...tell them the results will speak for themselves. I think that would be a helluva workout regimen.

what's up tronius

80%--> my thoughts on percentage of 1RM
