Homesexuals at a Christmas gathering was the context. I appreciate your perspective from a biological standpoint, and there is always the spector of parthenogenesis.
I was only countering your comment about something being "normal" when, on the grand biological scale, it most certainly isn't. So you argue that homosexuality is a remenant of asexual reproduction millions of years ago? lol

I'm not arguing anything with you, Samoth, especially when you qualify your challenge with a 'lol'. I don't know enough about science and certainly not enough about speculative theory to argue with you. I agree that sex, when considered as nothing more than a purely reproductive task, then homosexual activity would be considered abnormal. (I believe this is the flagship arguement of the Catholic Chrurch) But we all know sex is loads more than that.

Well it's not *flawed* in terms of sex as (singularly) reproduction, and *yes* in my experience, religious institutions use this as a basic doctrinal tenet supporting their belief that homosexuality is abnormal and sinful.

Still not cool. I don't care but i wouldn't say it's cool. So normal relations aren't cool? They're not and kind of boring so why should we say something abnormal is cool?
I'm addressing the necessity of sexual reproduction for the propagation of species. The only reason you or I exist is via sexual reproduction. I'm not looking at indivudual choices, preferences, or even society; rather, the species and its survival.
I am looking at sex as a merely reproductive biological task here, and I am not differentiating humans from monkeys or pigs here, either. If we're looking at things from a current or societal standpoint, then my posts are moot.
