this is the 2nd time i've worked on getting RIPPED. i know it's stupid (in the future i'm not going to do this), but in the past i haven't lifted as frequently when i'm working on getting ripped. i even sometimes take like a month or so off like completely. when i work on losing fat, my carbs are usually way down.

well after like 2 months, my weight dropped huge. i did lose fat, but my muscle measurements seemed to drop a lot, too. i was kinda upset because i was like damn i lost all that size.

well i just recently went back to lifting again and eating a lot and after only a few weeks I'VE EXPLODED almost back to where i used to be!?!?! i've heard people talk about muscle memory, but it's just mind boggling. my upper arm measurement went up almost an inch in like 2 weeks. the distance around my shoulders went up 2 inches. i also gained over like 10lb so so fast.

this is the 2nd time it's happened after i went on like a ripped routine for like 2 months. after like 2 months, i'm like whoa i'm small now. then i eat big and lift again for a few weeks and my size jumps back up quickly to almost where i was before.

a few more things i'd like to say: i'm not claiming i went to NEW PEAKS fast. i'm saying i went almost back to my previous peak size much more quickly than it originally took to get. also, i was like 6-7% body fat, now i'm under 5%.
 
i think a big factor may be water. when i was working on losing fat, i exercised like 2x a day almost every day for 30-45 min. now that i've dropped back on cardio, plus i'm lifting, and eating a surplus (i'm gettin a lot of carbs now), my muscles probably like filled back up. lol i dunno really..
 
you muscles will defineately get fuller when you up the carbs after low carbing it for a while.

Why do you stop lifting when you cut up? I mean you could just cut back and do bench, deads, and squats - you could do this in 30 minutes 3x a week.

i agree. it's just a bad habit i need to stop.
