Cash for Clunkers was such a stupid ass program. Thousands of perfectly good vehicles destroyed in the name of "clean energy". Those vehicles could have been resold to low income families who needed a solid vehicle at an affordable price. Many people looking for a car today come onto dealership lots and are looking for something under $10k, and can't find it (unless they want a true piece of shit). Clever way to fuck over the people barely scraping by in the long run.
