Ummm, there's a difference between race and ethnicity.

Hispanic isn't a race, so being Hispanic doesn't mean someone isn't white. How stupid it is to hear people say "he's not white, he's Hispanic".

Hispanic is an ethnicity, a culture. Mexican is a nationality. Both can be white, and many are. People misunderstand how broad a term "race" is. There are only several to cover billions of people. Not everybody in your race is going to look like you.

"White" doesn't only describe people of recent European ancestry...unfortunately, people use "white" today with a cultural connotation, when racially it has none.

As long as there are humans, there will be hate. It has nothing to do with race, religion or culture. It just has to do with being human.
The guy was probably a real angry guy with some bone to pick with someone and took it out on some young child. Happens every day....sad!

You're assuming he was rational..by all accounts he was a paranoid; A normal person doesn't run down someone and murder them.

One of my best friends in college was a black man and he was very confrontational...I remember his anger when he was ticketed for jay walking..a pretty much bullshit charges at OSU but he was a dick to the cops and he escalated the confrontation...I was stopped by pd for pissing in the alley on a drinking binge and apologetic to the police....I didn't get a ticket. White people understand they need to be deferential to the government, my black friends have always had a chip on their shoulder about it. Maybe you're getting hassled because you're challenging authority and not the amount of melanin in your cells.

Zimmy wasn't authority. He was just some guy in street clothes chasing him. Your argument would have merit if he were a cop.

Right...because hispanic/latino people can be white, like I said. The government asks for clarification of the ethnicity of said white person because the Hispanic/Latino ethnic group is of interest.

That doesn't mean they aren't "white". If South Africans were populating our country as quickly as the Hispanic/Latino community, it'd say white - not South African and white - South African.

Hispanic is an ethnic modifier, not a racial one.

Let's face it. This guy saw a black juvenile in a hoodie walking in this gated community and thought immediately that he didnt belong there so he must be suspicious. THAT is what sparked him to follow and then call 911 (jesus christ really???! he called 911).
