That's wrong on so many levels... my daughter is 9 months old and I can't even begin to think about this. My hope is however that she will grow up with the good judgement and sense to know that men are dogs, and that she's the one in control (i.e. most women can have a guy or sex whenever they want...)

Anybody that disagrees that women are in charge when it comes to hooking up is seriously deluded.

I think guys don't like to think about all those hot studs that have cum before them. There's always that pressure to either meet or beat the previous sexual partner. When a woman has had more partners that just makes matters worse for the guy.

For women, 99% of them don't do anything during sex. They want a man to take control and know what he's doing. Of course that doesn't mean they want a man whore, but experience is a great thing.

One note however, if a man has never been in a serious relationship then he knows nothing about sex. It's not until you're with the same person for a long while that you're able to discover more sexual insights. He could have laid 50 women, but if he's only done it 50 times, what the fuck could he possible know.

I hope you know that I didn't mean to offend you at all...but I think that it's totally true what I said. There is a double standard...but honestly...I think there SHOULD be one in this instance. I can't blame you at all for having a hard time rationalizing why the 'rules' should be the same. They shouldn't. Bottom line. I'm a woman and when/if I have a daughter and a son...you better bet your butt the rules won't be the same.

You have a long way to go before thinking about that. Don't be so strict that your daughter would ever want to rebel...but don't give her TOO much freedom with the boys...because things will happen.

From a parental standpoint, I think if we'd be stricter with the boys to start out with we'd have less to worry about with the girls. Why do we give boys the freedoms we're trying to protect the girls from to begin with? Who are they gonna be practicing their freedoms with after all...the girls we're trying to keep safe. It's also odd that girls begin to mature at an earlier age than boys (ie. puberty starts about 2 yrs. earlier for girls than boys). Then boys reach their sexual peaks by the time they're 20 yet women don't get there 'till their 30's. Mother nature is surely mysterious.

Men in their 20's and women in their 30's... I figured this one out early. When I was 17, I was with a 30 year old. So much fun when you work with mother nature isn't it. If you don't think a 30 year old woman can "keep up" with a 20 year old guy, think again.

Now I'm sure she had more partners than I did at the time, but when we were together she didn't screw around at all, so I was happy. The whole "whore" thing is just a cheap ego-saving excuse guys come up with after getting shot down.

This whole thread is bullshit...NO double standards here...the reason women are seen as whores when they sleep around is because it's really not in their nature. It's almost considered an unnatural behaviour.
On the other hand, men have a natural tendency to want to fuck every half decent looking chick. It's in our genes lol.
There is an inherent difference between the sexes. Men have more testosterone, making us more sexually aggressive.
The reason men get 'patted on the back' is because it's a greater challenge for them in getting laid. To a woman, it ain't nothing....
