Man I'm sorry but I don't know how to word this nicely, with your stats you don't even sound like you train at all. You may think you have all the answers, but you have a lot to learn.

Rep range will have NO EFFECT on how your muscles appear, they might be bigger or smaller in comparison, but that's IT.

What were your stats when you were 17 with a year and a half of training under your belt? I started at 165 with an 18% bf, 39'' chest, 12" 7/8 bi's, 36'' waist... Now I'm at 42.5'' chest 15'' bi's and a 35'' waist. Just wondering. And if you could explain why rep range has no effect on how your muscles appear that would be nice of you. Thanks. And when did I say I have all the answers?
My chest/tri routine-
Flat bench
warm up 20x bare bar and 6x weight of first set
135x12*( I have a weak chest)
140x10*
145x8*
(* super set with cable crossovers each set)
Incline bench
95x10
105x8
120x6
Lying French Presses
55x14 or failure
60x12 or ''
65x10 or ''
Alternating cables (21's)
40x 3of 7
60x 3of 7
40x 3of 7
Cable pushdowns
70x failure
60x ''
50x ''

It's some light weight for anyone that has been lifting any time at all, but I started out with a weak chest. I couldn't max more than 115 and now I'm at 190. So wether or not it measures up with everyone else isn't my concern it's how much I've progressed.

Wow! I'm done with this board. I had a stint earlier in the year, but I can't stand all the testosterone going around, I have enough of my own. So if you were cool thanks, but I really don't want to deal with assholes like Debaser anymore. Stats can indicate a lot about a physique, and mouths can indicate a lot about self esteem!!! So while you continue to "pop" in Kansas City I'll be pumping Iron and continuing to encourage people. See your ass on the stage in ten!!!

For starters i dont like the tone of the first post you made.

You are saying unfounded muscle magazine mantra. "up the weight dude" "hit that peak" type shit.

A lot of the memebers on this board are athletes, highly trained, highly educated. Many come for help. and many will give help.

Please feel free to stay......tone down your testosterone fueled recycled fantasy information and we can all get along.

I by no means represent the board, or a collection of people.

If you have a serious point to make with this post......please do so.

and do some research. This powerlifting Vs bodybuilding crap has gone on to long.

No one has ever boasted thier numbers...and everyone helps no matter if you can bench 20lbs or 600lbs

its the nicest board i have come accross......i think you are the one with the bad attitude and fueled by test.
just my 1 cent

Heheheh....oh this is gonna be good.
Think he could outlift the girls, bg? ;)
:lmao:

And who's Ron Coleman? Is it that ebonics speaking bodybuilder? ;) Definately got some size on him, but that's about all he has going for him.

Ok, first of bro, toss out the Flex magazines. The training and diet info is bullshit. Please don't imply that you train harder than some of us bro, I've passed out a couple times right after a set. There are alot of guys, and gals, on this forum that 99% of the people who workout religously couldn't keep up with. Take a full minute rest between weighed dips or 500 ibs squats? You're out of shape if the answer is yes.

Second, aesthetics, once bodyfat is low, is basicly genetic. Your training might affect the proportions of one muscle group to another due to a training imbalance, but shape is genetic.

Third, stop bulking and get your ass on a diet. If your 17% you shouldn't be bulking, if you plan on being a bodybuilder. There is no excuss for eating that bad. When we bulk up like that, we are kidding ourselves and showing lack of discipline by thinking we are actually gaining muscle faster. Show the same level of discipline at the table that you have in the weight room. Not everyone can be a bodybuilder both in the gym as well as outside of the gym.

Fourth, how much you lift is important. Playing with light weights will not produce the quality or density that you are seeking. The guys who usually use the line "I don't care how much I lift, I just care what I look like" usually look like shit are in total denial. While I only care about how I look, not what I lift, I understanding that training heavy will affect how I look.

That being said, welcome to the training board bro. This is where the truely hardcore on the board converse. Stick around and learn.

Kudo's on training and improving yourself, watch what you say to people in regards to how they should train as it can come accross very conceited, arrogant and foolish. But stick with the training, don't let anything put you off and just learn as much as possible, try some other sources of information also.
