The Secret To Getting Cut REVEALED!

Stevesmi, in relation to your handyman example I know a guy who weighs 200lbs, he'd be about 5'10 maybe 11% bodyfat, big and lean... No steroids, can't even pronounce creatine, eats pure junk goes drinking at the weekends, only been weight training for two years... Some people just seemed to be blessed with excellent genetics...

^^^ this dude i am talking about is jamaican so he has excellent genetics. also he is out there in FL heat doing yardwork and fixing things all day.. sweating a lot and all that. the guy never drinks water either.. he just drinks soda lol. if he were to workout and eat good he would be on stage for sure.

Troy Polamalu.........

he is a strong safety bro. not a CB. totally different position. CB's are skinny and fast. strong safeties are more bulky and they have to get up there and take on blocks in run support.

but yeah he is a freak.. well was a freak. he is past his prime now

You should avoid eating soy with other proteins too - it will diminish your ability to absorb other proteins. Unless its a soy protein extract - which there are better sources of protein.

Here's where this simple idea starts to get complicated ;)

I have to say, training and dieting for this NPC contest has re-confirmed what I knew along .

All these diet manipulations that the science geeks love to talk about is utter bullshit. Going old school here. All the books and all the methods and clinics and theories and seminars and analysis about fat loss can be summed up in one sentence:

Eat as much protein as possible with as little overall calorie intake as possible.

Done.

Done-fucking done, done. There's really nothing else to say or do. That is IT.

Very late to this thread but Nelson I have to agree. I love your old school philosophy on pretty much everything.

Its real easy to keep around 2k cals and get 400g protein a day.

I can keep at 2k pretty easy while hitting 300g but 400 is difficult to do. That would mean 80% of your calories are coming from protein. Hard to get in your veggies and enough healthy fats at that level.

OK I have a clean diet, I eat about 1900 kcals a day and run 5 miles 6 times a week at 5 am. This is In addition to my heavy weight training. I am also 37 6"2 230lbs @ 12% bf. I look leaner then I actually am. I am pretty lean everywhere except my lower belly. And no matter what my fat clings there. Would you think that if I cut my cardio I would see better results? Don't take me wrong, I am happy with the way I look, but always looking to refine. I feel that my cardio is what keeps me lean (in addition to a low carb/high protein diet).

Too much running. Use that energy to concentrate on building the muscle of the lower abdomen.

in men the belly is usually the last place excess fat is stored. so this is normal. only way to get rid of that is to lose more fat. you can do the ab machine all you want and its not gonna make a difference.

you always see fat people using the ab machine at the gym and i roll my eyes, its silly to spot train. i had an arguement with a friend about this who would use the ab machine and claimed he was losing weight in his belly. it wasn't from the machine it was from him working out more and losing body fat which gave him the impression that his strategy was working.
