Fedor is one bad mofo. Still have to be fascinated by Bruce Lee despite the fact I personally never wittiness a verity of street fight as well in the ring matches on any of his documentary's. More then likely if Bruce Lee fought some in his weight class he would do well, but against Fedor he would have his ass handed to him... Darth Fedor is my vote !!!!!
Sorry Alcatraz, I know you are gonna hate this, but that knee last night represented Hawaii so fiercely, I think now with the rededication, he's gonna steal GSP's title if GSP makes it past Jon Fitch... GSP is so kind, respectful, technically proficient, yet I have no love for him... don't know why, just don't like the dude, don't hate him like Matt Hughes... but digressing, Pride of Hilo is gonna take back 170 title...
America had shootwrestlers during the first half of the 20th century, Karl Gotch probably the most famous. I wonder what is different about modern times that is allowing a similar sport such as MMA thrive where shootwrestling never seemed to make it.
Well , lets look at the times when the REAL "hookers" started to vanish ... the 50's - basically the era of american Victorianism . The "Show" became popular and those with the "Go" - and the cauliflour (sp ?) ears and faces for Radio went with them - it was on to the "Gorgeous George's" and "Nature Boy's" of the time , and White Hat Vs. Black Hat simplicity of the Cold War era was taking hold , as was the "Dumbening Of America" as I coin it . No one was looking for Intricate Holds and skilled practitioners , they wanted "Finishing Moves" and pretty costumes . we were left with the father of what became the WWF era .
