The Format Style of Anabolic Kitchen eBook Sucks

cymspeed

New member
Let me re-phrase, the packaging/format REALLY sucks.

I've skimmed through it and the content is excellent, but paying for an eBook I really expected it to look nicer. It is ALL plain uncopy-able text with no clickable links in the Table of Contents, or anything.

Also, the Table of Contents has page numbers listed for everything. But whoops! There are no page numbers. It's not in PDF format or anything, just a small executable that opens in an IE like window. If you want to find anything, you just have to scroll down as it is all 1 page until you find something that looks like what you want. Even the Chapter breaks aren't bolded or anything.

Sorry for the rant, I just expected it to be in PDF format, to be able to search through it, actually have Page numbers so I can find the recipes/information that I needed, etc. It looks like they took a book, copied it in to notepad, then pasted it in to a single html file with no formatting.

Hopefully in the future ef.com offer something that's a bit easier and nicer to find what you're looking for, especially since they're charging for it.

That's all!

I am sorry bro. How ever it does have page numbers. If you drag up or down on the scroll bar fast you will see that page number pop up bro. Please try this for me.

the format will be updated I am sure. But yes it does have page numbers. also many of the good bro's here on ef have printed the book out and put in in a 3 ring binder. They like it better this way. I am sure any one of them can tell you how to do that.

2nd I would like to say that I myself wrote the book and I put a lot of time and knowledge into it. It would be a shame if you did not read the book from cover to cover then print out the recipes.

If you are truly unhappy with the book and wish to no longer have it. A full refund can be given to you and I would be the first man to stand up and say (give the man his money back).

Lastly bro. Thank you for your feed back on my book. Every one is welcome to share there thoughts be it good or bad. ou are right and maybe this will make ef take a second look at the format and do something to change it. I am how ever ver happy that you have enjoyed the books content. That part was my Job and I do feel I did A very good one :D

Welcome to ef bro please stick around and post more. I will hook you up with a free plat for taking the time to share with all of us.

I've heard of a lot of guys that have printed off the recipes. I'm sure someone will chime in here and let ya know how to do it.

Who wants to sit at their computer to look up a recipe anyhow...I'd much rather print it off and keep it in the kitchen.

PM Needto about this and change the title man. You're post isn't really bashing the content of the book but your title is and that not cool. Now be a good bro and change the title.

hmmm seems fishy comming from a guy with 1 post! i thought the book was excellent ..this is the 1st complaint i have seen about it ..

Bingo!!! I have quite a few ebooks (remember that whole copyright deal needto and you nearly banning me lol:p) and I have printed out most all of them. Especially your book. My memory sucks and my computer is a good fifty feet from the kitchen. That makes it close to impossible for me to cook and follow the recipes at the same time. Just print the recipes out you are planning on using and be done with it. An actual hard copy of your book would be sick, but damn it wouldn't be cheap to get made.

Also lets welcome this guy to ef and thank him for coming around and posting up. He is not a bad guy at all. Ef is all about helping and that is what we are all doing here.

This member said it was ok to change the title to his thread. I asked him in a pm. I think that was very respectful of him.

Hi,

needtogetaas sent me a PM, explained a possible way to at least see page numbers if you scroll the book fast up and down. It didn't work though.

I wasn't aware that forum members contributed/wrote the book, but it is nice to know that there is a good wealth of knowledge on here. I just saw the eBook on the ef.com site, purchased it, and shared my opinion on the product just like I would any other purchase. Not sure how that is fishy..

Why print stuff out? Always easier for me to have a laptop open in the kitchen whenever I'm making something. Seems like a waste to me..

Like I said before, the content is absolutely top notch. I'm not bashing or discounting the information at all! I just think that if you pay for a product, it should be simple and easy to use. Especially if something is an "e"book then you should be able to use it electronically!

I don't know what exact format he DLed. I know you had a choice of two. The version I have has a "Printer" icon on the toolbar.

laptop in the kitchen?! For me that would be a RECIPE for disaster!!! Pun intended lol!!!:D

The great thing about buying your eBook from Elite Fitness is that you have a lifetime subscription to the content and its updates. So you can always come back and download the latest version of an eBook you bought years ago.

In the case of Anabolic Kitchen, needto will be adding monthly updates starting October. You will get updates to the eBook every month for 12 months and maybe beyond. We will look into the formatting issue and see if we can improve it for later versions of the download.

Thank You for your comments. Your feedback helps us improve our products and service.

Yes, its as simple as clicking the Print Icon at the top. Both formats (zip and executable) go to the same source (the executable). You have a print icon. Just click it and paper comes out of the printer with recipes on it.

Definitely check out the protein bars. Chocolate Peanut Butter, mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I have to agree with cymspeed. The content is great, but a PDF version would be nice.
Just a personal preference thing. Although I notice copy/paste seems to be disabled in the executable file, which may be the reason for this method.
Although there are some simple workarounds to get it into a copyable format, so not sure if it's necessary.

My 2 Cents. :)

I printed it and then put it in page protectors so I don't get sauce and shit on the pages. I could see how it would be annoying to read through it everytime you look for a recipe. Printing is the best way. PDF format would be nice in the future if possible Needto but still an awesome book.
