I was helping someone this morning via pm and i typed out some basic rules for clean eating. I thought i might post them and have others add or comment.
1. If my great great grandmother would not recognize it, it is not food. When you are at the grocery store imagine she is there looking at everything you are putting in the cart.
2. If the ingredient list is over 8 items or you cannot pronounce some of the ingredients, or they are not easily recognizable, it is not food.
3. No starchy carbs or sugar after 6PM. Only carbs after that time eaten are vegetables.
4. If i must indulge in a massive piece of chocolate cake or whatever, i must first chug a protein shake.
