Tall Weightlifters, I have a question

Try centering your workouts around heavy compound work, that'll help everything. For arms, try heavy negatives, also I used to do 21's and they worked pretty well for me. I'm around 6'6'', 6'7'', so I know where you're coming from. I used to be a fairly solid 230 - 240, but I never had really large arms.

hey guru would that "new style of bench" be close grip?

Yeah, like Skaman said... it's the powerlifting style... Spatts had a great post on a thread not too long ago where she cited Tate... it went through all the aspects of the style. I believe, Spatts even had a video clip of her doing it... although, she is wearking a loose shirt, so you can't see the arch in her back as well... I think she should do it with a sports bra... or maybe.. .completely naked? :)

MG,

To look like Jose Canseco you must first have similar genetics to Jose. Canseco also used some additional supplements to assist his tremendous genetics. I met him in Toronto and I actually wrote a story about it here on Elite.
Consistant workouts, diet, and rest will grant you whatever results your body is capable of producing. @ the time you reach your plateau, then and only then would I advise the use of additional supplements. I know you did not ask about that in particular but it seems to go well along with the subject matter.

human physiology is human physiology.
there is absolutely no reason why taller people should train differently.

as for not looking big enough.... just remember basic math...

any 3 dimensional object (like the human body)
will when 1 dimension is increased by x (height, vertical)
and the shape stays the same,
become X to the third power greater in volume (mass).

a 5"0 guy who is 180 lbs lean (big)
would by this formula have the same build as a 7 foot tall guy
who weighs 493 lbs lean.

of course that just doesn`t happen so short guys are forever buffer than us :(

thats just how it is. however it matters not.
because when we stand next to them, its still clear we outweigh them by a ton.

im 6"4 and 16 yr old btw... i should still be growing
