Taking Up Boxing

I'm 24. Been fighting since I was 8. I have a black belt in Muay-Tai and a black belt in Full-contact kickboxing. Was captain of wrestling team in highschool and university.

Never did boxing though.

FYI: there is no black belts in Muay Tai or kickboxing... and you won nationals for a while? what does that mean? i am a former Div1 college wrestler and kick boxer/boxer. some karate studios claim to teach muay thai, i guess you would get a belt that way, but there is not BLACK belts or belts at all in the sports you speak of. that would be like saying im a brown belt in wrestling...

traditional kickboxing and Muay Thai do not offer belts. The current ISKA kickboxing champ or the current K1 or Muay Thai kickboxing champs do not have black or any color belts in their sport.

http://www.thaiboxing.com/faq.php

FAQ section. go down to "does muay thai have belts?"
it explains that, Yes, there are belts. yu get them from winning fights. they are brightly colored and shiny. it explains some of the title belts availabe and shows a pic of a fighter displaying his championship belt.

see how at the top it says 'thai boxing association of the USA.' i live in england. im not sure how other countries and organizations govern their sports, but training where i do and with who i do you get belts in kick+thai.
who are you anyway? are you actually a fighter or just some random who goes round googling info on the internet?

and also those muay thai belts are ones you receive for winning tournaments, not ones you get to show your level of training
